Basically, I concur with your sentiment. As you may know, I started my Patek collection with a couple of Nautis (as many do). But I quickly reached a point where the Nautis were not that interesting anymore. These are beautiful watches, no doubt, but they are also very “basic” and not really special from a collector’s point of view. It is okay to have one or two but that’s it for me. I’m now rather focusing on beautiful and/or special movements and dials/handcrafts. 5711 and 5712, respectively, are also often the only Patek people own (e.g. bought on the after market) and these people have no other affection for Patek. They are a little bit like a Rolex SS Daytona. My two cents. Best, Volker
