An evolution in simple pieces is something interesting indeed

Feb 09, 2017,04:12 AM

It is not always a question of complications when dealing with Patek Philippe and I think that the 215 will come in the next few years. It will be interesting to see the Calatrava pieces that will be unveiled with that new movement.

As for the 5296A, there is indeed a strong demand for steel watches from Patek. I don't know what they'll do as they want to keep steel watches limtied in terms of volume (thus the long Nautilus waiting list). The exception is bringing steel to traditional pieces but then, when dealing with Patek, as it is very rare, it becomes quite speculative and should be handled by the brand very softly.

So, I'm not sure they will but the solid case back is indeed something that people somtimes appreciate and it could maybe be proposed as an option, the client can decide if he wants solid or sapphire?

Thanks for your input Christian smile

Best, Mark

Patek folks, In a little less than 2 months the Basel fair will open its doors to unveil the 2017 novelties. As usual, it is time for predictions and expectations! Let’s make our Patek Philippe 3-piece wish-list for this event. It can be about a new dial ...

I think that many here are looking for the 5131P and what kind of dial they will choose. The 5170A is indeed something that many purists would like to see. Maybe in today's economical context it will become possible. We'll see that Thanks! Best, Mark
