Patek Philippe

5990 evolution

The 5990 was introduced 3 years ago. At the beginning, it seemed that this would be a replacement/evolution of the 5980. But since then, it remains un-evolved as a reference. Hence, I proposed, that with a complete discontinuation of the 5980 reference, there would be room for the 5990 to explore further development. And, as a result, there would also be room for an automatic chronograph/date model in the Aquanaut line. This seems as a natural evolvement for both the Nautilus and Aquanaut lines and in terms of how the Maison wants to explore a more modern approach and fresh design language, without straying away from the traditional element and the core historic values that make Patek Philippe unique (unlike the 5524, which - by the way - in my book, is a future collectible classic, even more so if the Maison decides to discontinue the reference fast enough) .
As for a dark blue dial/dark blue tropical rubber strap on a potential 5167P, I am all in!
