For me, a Patek PCC was always a grail and must-have for a collection. I started with dreaming of the 3970 when it was actual and even more the 5970. When the 5270 was announced new, I was very thrilled about the new movement which is - at least technically - superior to the old Lemania-based one. After trying the 5270G-001 I was still thinking of perhaps better look for a 5970G, but then the 5270G-015 - the munich edition - was announced in Munich for „KunstWerkUhr“ 2013.
And I was paralyzed! That is it! The special blue accents, the tachmyeter-scale, the whole looks - this made it for me as successor of the 5970; and all this with the new movement!
But getting one of the 50 pieces would be possible?? Yes, it was, and that‘s it:
I‘m still very happy with it and also like the „chin“ which is not at all striking in normal wear.
But there was still a dream of the 5970P or a 5004. And one day in Geneva in the factory I had the chance to handle all watches - including the 5204P. And what to say, the 5204P for me was the most beautiful and desirable watch of the whole collection. So it had to come like this:
In terms of Patek PCC, there is not much more to come now. I thought of a 5970J to have a gold PCC, but this gap I closed with a Vacheron Malte PCC 47112J...
Enjoy your Patek PCCs!!
