Patek Philippe

Great post my friend.

For me the PCC was the watch that got me so spell bound by Patek. I like you loved the earlier models but came into it at the end of the 3970 run when the earlier models were out of my reach. I remember so badly wanting a 3970r but for me the proportions and how it looked on my wrist just didn’t sit well with me no matter how much I wanted it to.
Then the 5970 was created and I fell deeply madly in love and it was love at first sight and I knew I had to have one.
I had set my heart on the Pink gold version as for me it sings classic Patek with a vintage feel.
So I was able to secure one of the first 5970r to come into the UK. It didn’t disappoint and soon became my go to watch.
Then when the 5970p was announced I was a little disappointed with the black dial but again it was a wonderful watch if not a little difficult for me to read the time on.
Then the London Exhibition at the Saatchi gallery happened and I was blown away like never before when I saw my favourite Patek in a glass cabinet with the most stunning pink, salmon rose dial I’d ever seen in person. This created a want like I’d never experienced before in 30 years of collecting watches.
So here they are.
Keep safe my friend and I’m so glad you went for a 5970p.
Enjoy and wear and stare in good health.
M.
