Very succinct summary which I agree. I love chronographs and had a few panerai chronographs, but it is down to just one chrono, the Daylight PAM196. To me , I have come to realise that Panerai for me is like you have described so eloquently. I go for the simple time only.Nothing fancy in precious metal, must be manual . Pre V's would be nice but hey, I will be a happy chappy and be content with PAM 232, 360, 390 and a 372 till the next one. And oh, I dont mind the vintage looking Luminova ( Is there any other way ? ).

Does it have to be a Luminor w/ crown guard? No Does it have to be cased in SS or any white metal would do? Steel--but fortunately DNA implies evolution, so I am not at all opposed to other materials. I'd love to see a return to palladium--and It thrills ...

I can tell you DNA suffers variations, being natural or induced ones. Even in nature, individuals of the very same species are full of genetical varations!!! That's what makes them more fit or resistant to illnes, climate variations and cosmic radiation a...

that's a clever approach. Only, IMO, instead of drawing the line at movements the....demarkation lines....should be 3, actually: 1) The assembling period (the vintage era with the Marina Militare as the sole driver of the evolution) Super CULT stuff. 2) T...
