Before going into the watch I would like to say – Nicolas, this post is a masterpiece!
Superbly built and executed!
Huge thank you for the effort, my friend!
OK, Deep Sea Vintage Chronograph!
WOW – It looks absolutely fantastic!
Where to start?
Case, same case and case size as the DSA sounds perfect.
Love the size of the TT DSA, and if same case even better!
The sublime curved lugs, perfect mix of polished and brushed surfaces…
Same bezel – the odd bezel that is somewhat of a trademark of the Deep Sea…
Same index and hands…
When it comes to the chronograph, as you know – Mr. No Chronograph…
Well, this opens a new Pandora’s Box for me…
This will be the end of my Chronograph embargo…
Two counters, I like it – makes the dial less crowded.
Personally I would prefer if no JL logo was on the dial and if the Jaeger-LeCoultre was smaller, fitted between 11 and 13 in an arc shape (?).
Would also prefer if the edge of the hour and minute hands was silver + silver second hand to separate from the white chrono hands…
Automatic – very nice font, mushroom pushers – perfect!
So, two versions..?!
This is the Special Edition (according to the inscription on the back) – a qualified guess would be that the second version is a LE..?!
Like the AMVOX I, one special and one (three) LE versions.
Hope not that the LE version is in TI – that would not feel right for a “vintage” watch.
But let’s hope that there will be some difference in appearance and not like the TT Polaris 65 (SS/PL case, no other difference).
Nicolas, thank you for a fantastic presentation of what looks to be a fantastic watch!
I am in love!
Best, my friend
