Yes there is better finish, limited in quantity & uniqueness, Yes it does bring good connect to the watchmaker but when you think at what cost…at a given point there are handful of indies that could justify the overall package imho.
At this price point a Patek Philippe 5070g or even a modern Complication makes complete sense.
Yes of course it is a personal preference but to me, I started moving to the other direction.

There are some good buys out there from the Independents
Personally, in this instance I see Mr. Pages trying to find equilibrium. The price does seem high but what is the point of pricing the watch so well that he finds himself with a 5-10 year waitlist? That doesn't sound ideal either.

Offering another perspective
These artisanal watches are made in very limited quantities (from 7 to 30 pcs annually per manufacturer) and they appeal to people who value hand-finishing and/or handmadeness. Each dress watch has approximately 2 ounces of gold and given the retail price...
