Just no. The watch market and industry
is suffering right now yet the prices continue to rise. At some point the music will stop and there will be a reckoning. This seems an absurd price for a steel time only watch, regardless of the finishing. Compare this to the new Parmigiani Tonda and there’s no debate. The Parmigiani is priced well below this Raul Pages watch, has more interest and also a special technique for the beautiful dials.
Until collectors “come out from under the ether” this type of pricing will unfortunately be seen more often.
The way to rebel is to cease buying.

There are some good buys out there from the Independents
Personally, in this instance I see Mr. Pages trying to find equilibrium. The price does seem high but what is the point of pricing the watch so well that he finds himself with a 5-10 year waitlist? That doesn't sound ideal either.

for a steel three hander with no special escapement or anything that differentiates it from the hundred other indies makes no sense.... what makes it worse is that it is more than his RP1!!!
Offering another perspective
