Let me say first and foremost that I am a HUGE fan of the design and do not see just another clone / imitation of the Nautilus / Royal Oak.
Secondly, I knew about this model prior to its launch and already secured one, hopefully it will be one of the first to arrive.
Thirdly, I love the design and especially the micro rotor movement. The Galet square-like case in Titanium is pure LF DNA and nothing like the Naulitus or Royal Oak. Being in grade 5 Titanium also distinguishes it from the other 2.
All I can say is the movement design, architecture, and finishing is HEADS & SHOULDERS above the simple Nautilus or Royal Oak. I own many Nautilus and Royal Oak models so for me, it is not even close.
This is basically a Greubel Forsey sport watch at 1/8 - 1/10 the cost.
Funny how no one is comparing the Nautilus or Royal Oak with the Greubel Forsey sports watch 🙉🙊🙈.
I do not own a Laurent Ferrier yet but am super happy to add this one to my collection as a first of most likely many and will continue my journey into the Independent space.
There are many other pieces on my hit list for this year and in the near future as well. All I can say is, there are things in place behind the scenes which I hope will be done sooner than later 😉
As for now, this LF GS auto is a star in my eyes and at max of 150 pieces a year, I don't think they will have a problem selling them. Heck, my buddy ALREADY received more than 30 CONFIRMED orders 1 hour after launch which would be 20% of the allocation coming from 1 boutique 🤣🤣
