Can I ask what makes this watch more desirable TO YOU than the Streamliner, which I think shares a somewhat similar aesthetic? I assume the finishing is higher-end on the LF. Do you also prefer the overall look or shape of the LF? I ask as someone who is intrigued by both watches and am tempted to acquire one. Thanks.

I'm not a date window hater but to highlight one, particularly this bad is a design error for me
It feels like significant emphasis placed on something you would prefer be discreet, the asymmetric beveled relief highlighted with a white pinstripe, leading into a serif typeface which doesn't exactly scream sports, on a white disc rather than dial colo...
It's not an 'error'...

It will be interesting to see which (if any) of the new sports models from independents will be considered iconic. I tend to think the Moser Streamliner has the best chance, but could it be this LF or the Czapek Antartique?
I have a lot of respect and sympathy for LF but first impression is that’s it an odd design
It gives an inelegant impression in terms of proportion, and bracelet design. Dial is not great either. Sometimes these first visualizations are off compared to the real product so I would need to see it in real. I love titanium and to work with that idea...
I had the same impression with the Streamliner and probably many in the late 70's-early 80's about the Nautlius 😁

Sure, I just don't like it when every other brand tries to jump on the same bandwagon, but I can obviously understand it from a business perspective -- especially from a "modern Indie" who's having more trouble than some of its direct competitors.
But then, let's at least hope that those who can't access a 5711 and turn to LF, don't get turned down by him as well...;-)) Cheers.

The dial and lume are incredible on the tourbillon...
...but if I could afford it, I love the thought of a tourbillon on a sport watch. It's completely off the charts. The bonus is, the star of the show is hidden on the back : )

it struck me at first as imposing but with substance and elegance…although that may be biased by my appreciation of LF. The center portion of bracelet is curious, to be seen in metal. But titanium is a nice twist, but comes at a cost, which isn’t exactly ...

Visually not for me. In the same way as the Bell & Ross 05 and some others in this category don’t appeal.

Laurent Ferrier is in a different league, movements, finish, hands. The only similary I see with the Bell is that both are in steel 😁
What I was saying is the design doesn’t work for me. It’s off. The B&R is similarly “off” for me. Fat head, skinny body kinda look.
The best finishing and movement architecture in the world will never make a fugly watch pretty.
Not impressed by this one. Big watch, and a gigantic bezel. Bracelet taper seems extreme. Also should have a colored date window.
Overall, just doesn't do it for me...

Thanks Tuba, super excited to receive it. We both have some spectacular sports watches from Patek, Chopard, etc...but I think this LF is honestly heads and shoulders above the others if we are to compare equivalent pieces...
in terms of quality, finishing, movement architecture, etc...it is not even close IMHO. That is the beauty of this passion. We all have our own preferences and choices. None of us is right or wrong. It just comes down to passion in the end 😉👍🙏

Although the Streamliner is nice, I do not like their ingrated bracelet design even though many do. It looks a little too much like the old Ebel bracelets to me...
I am also a sort of movement snob so I value the finishing and handwork found in the LF movement, whereas the Streamliner, although a nice movement, is much more Industrial. Comparing the Streamliner to this LF GS really isn't a fair fight since the price...

I very much want to try on the new LF. I actually really like the aesthetics. I just need to see whether it’s too large for my small (6.5 inch) wrists. I typically wear watches that are a bit smaller and thinner.
We have the same sized wrist and I wear watches much larger than this LF, for example I often wear a Lange Double Split, Romain Gauthier Logical One, DeBethune DB28, JLC Extreme Lab 2, etc...never had a problem with the size...
