I’ll do that. Thank you.

I’m also trying to find out whether it will be easy to swap out the bracelet for a strap and whether the bracelet has a micro adjustment.

Titanium beauty ...

The nautilus is dead

 By: Arronax : February 2nd, 2022-13:09
Long live the new nautilus Joke aside it has a strong 70s vibe to it.

41,5mm

 By: mrds : February 2nd, 2022-13:25
Smaller compared to the 44mm Grand Sport Tourbillon

Is it real?

 By: VinnieD : February 2nd, 2022-13:20
could be a distorted photoshop from version 1, but we are not Apr 1st yet

Thanks

 By: VinnieD : February 2nd, 2022-16:17
I was enquiring as the proportions seem really off. To be checked in the metal!

Price?

 By: dte2 : February 2nd, 2022-13:26

CHF46000

 By: russell996 : February 2nd, 2022-13:28

It is real..

 By: Centurionone : February 2nd, 2022-13:31
I really liked the Grand Sport but couldn't rationalise having a tourbillon in a sports watch but this looks good

Interesting!

By: Chronometer (aka yacomino) : February 2nd, 2022-13:35

Looks great.

 By: russell996 : February 2nd, 2022-13:29
Something different to the usual and made to LF standards, what's not to like. 41.5mm Titanium 120m WP

Agreed!

 By: Centurionone : February 2nd, 2022-13:33

It''s been launched today!

 By: russell996 : February 2nd, 2022-13:42

Legend or fact?

 By: LX (Alex) : February 2nd, 2022-14:13

Might be different with this market

 By: dte2 : February 2nd, 2022-14:37
that is dominated by speculators….

No. I'm sorry, no.

 By: BigFatPauli : February 2nd, 2022-14:30

While it may very well be a nice watch

 By: Thomas_3 : February 2nd, 2022-14:33
I just DO NOT care for integrated bracelets.

Easy enough to fix...

 By: mdg : February 2nd, 2022-18:02
...I wold hope that they would offer an option on a rubber strap like on the Grand Sport Tourbillon.

Not my style

 By: TRF Speedmaster : February 2nd, 2022-14:39
They should have made this 40mm and include a quick release system to easily swap out the bracelet for a rubber strap. Also (and I understand why they did it) but ditching the natural escapement is disappointing. As a lover of the brand, I do hope this ju...

Funny you say that... the date window really puts me off

 By: Centurionone : February 2nd, 2022-18:18
especially its white background

I'm not a date window hater but to highlight one, particularly this bad is a design error for me

 By: ifraher : February 2nd, 2022-15:14
It feels like significant emphasis placed on something you would prefer be discreet, the asymmetric beveled relief highlighted with a white pinstripe, leading into a serif typeface which doesn't exactly scream sports, on a white disc rather than dial colo...

It's not an 'error'...

 By: mdg : February 2nd, 2022-21:24
...it's an abomination. Hopefully they will offer a reference without a date.

Error was the diplomatic choice

 By: ifraher : February 2nd, 2022-23:15
Yes I would imagine removing altogether would be a popular choice

what

 By: psfparis : February 2nd, 2022-15:18
i love the LF collection but this time it's main stream...dommage

No one has mentioned the crown

 By: cazalea : February 2nd, 2022-15:22
What's going on there with the crown? It seems strangely positioned or somehow reflected in the sides of the case, from both top and bottom. Hmmm. Cazalea

I think it is the photos..

 By: Centurionone : February 2nd, 2022-15:33
On the website it looks more clear

Need more time to review this one

 By: MPP : February 2nd, 2022-15:30
I want to like it because l love the brand and I’m in the market for a sports watch. But I want to see it in person. I would have preferred it slightly smaller and slimmer, and it would have been nice to swap out the bracelet for a strap. It may be that i...

In 20 years

 By: MPP : February 2nd, 2022-16:05
It will be interesting to see which (if any) of the new sports models from independents will be considered iconic. I tend to think the Moser Streamliner has the best chance, but could it be this LF or the Czapek Antartique?

Clearly I’m with you

 By: Mr.Gatsby : February 2nd, 2022-21:28

I have a lot of respect and sympathy for LF but first impression is that’s it an odd design

 By: ChristianDK : February 2nd, 2022-16:36
It gives an inelegant impression in terms of proportion, and bracelet design. Dial is not great either. Sometimes these first visualizations are off compared to the real product so I would need to see it in real. I love titanium and to work with that idea...

I had the same impression with the Streamliner and probably many in the late 70's-early 80's about the Nautlius 😁

 By: christianch : February 4th, 2022-01:07
more difficult would be to see if they can really supply enough of it and can become a classic.

umhh well to be fair Patek did open the road for alternatives 😁

 By: christianch : February 4th, 2022-01:08
to me it looks good (from the photos) different and given Laurent Ferrier long history at Patek seems almost an evolution

Not sure…

 By: Andy_Mac : February 2nd, 2022-17:38
…but the ALS Odysseus got panned initially and look at it now.

Exactly..

 By: Centurionone : February 2nd, 2022-18:19

I really love this case shape...

 By: mdg : February 2nd, 2022-17:41
...very similar to the one used on the Grand Sport tourbillon reference. But I really DON'T like whatever is going on around the date window. Best to get rid of the date altogether... ...

The dial and lume are incredible on the tourbillon...

 By: mdg : February 2nd, 2022-18:22
...but if I could afford it, I love the thought of a tourbillon on a sport watch. It's completely off the charts. The bonus is, the star of the show is hidden on the back : )

Impressive, actually. I can see why a likeness to Nautilus can be made, but I actually see it as having its own character…

 By: ArmisT : February 2nd, 2022-17:45
it struck me at first as imposing but with substance and elegance…although that may be biased by my appreciation of LF. The center portion of bracelet is curious, to be seen in metal. But titanium is a nice twist, but comes at a cost, which isn’t exactly ...

Very welcome. It's definitely got its own character.

 By: Centurionone : February 2nd, 2022-18:20
In fact it's a follow up on the Grand Sport Tourbillion which was out of most people's budget, including mine!

well not really a fair comparison :)

 By: christianch : February 4th, 2022-01:09
Laurent Ferrier is in a different league, movements, finish, hands. The only similary I see with the Bell is that both are in steel 😁

What I was saying is the design doesn’t work for me. It’s off. The B&R is similarly “off” for me. Fat head, skinny body kinda look.

 By: Jay (Eire) : February 4th, 2022-02:31
The best finishing and movement architecture in the world will never make a fugly watch pretty.

True, true...

 By: amanico : February 4th, 2022-07:34

I was excited

 By: pptraveltime : February 2nd, 2022-19:14
Until I saw the four screws on the back. Kind of bother me. Want to see the real thing to make the final judgment. ...

Would you care to expand on that ?

 By: Centurionone : February 2nd, 2022-19:29

We are in agreement about the date window but

 By: Centurionone : February 3rd, 2022-19:13
I have a strong suspicion that this watch looks great in the metal and on the wrist

A couple more photos…

 By: edgemi : February 2nd, 2022-20:56
Must admit I’m a fan. Completely understand people’s comments about the date, it would be more balanced without it. ...

I’ve always had a soft spot for LF

 By: Mr.Gatsby : February 2nd, 2022-21:25
And I expected this would come sooner or later. The timing cannot be better, when luxury sports watch prices are exponentially higher. Do I like this watch? Well, I want to. Firstly, I empathize with LF for creating this sports watch. After all the herita...

Seems like the app is buggy

 By: Mr.Gatsby : February 2nd, 2022-21:37
And the full length of my post got cut off. Gonna cut to the chase on my remaining points: 3. Use of titanium love it. Stainless steel is mainstream and this is a great choice. 4. Gradient blue dial what’s not to love? Check 5. Ghosted text “Sport Auto”. ...

As a Ferrier fan, I‘d love to like this one

 By: mrds : February 2nd, 2022-21:52
But I don’t. In fact, it leaves me surprisingly indifferent. It is too close to an icon. And while it may be different enough to not count as an imitation, it doesn’t bring anything new to the game that is the blue dialled sports watch. (Except the Ti, wh...

I am surprised by some of the feedback I have read regarding this new LF GS model...

 By: holdemchamp1225 : February 2nd, 2022-22:50
Let me say first and foremost that I am a HUGE fan of the design and do not see just another clone / imitation of the Nautilus / Royal Oak. Secondly, I knew about this model prior to its launch and already secured one, hopefully it will be one of the firs...

Congratulations Justin!

 By: Centurionone : February 2nd, 2022-22:58
Can't wait to see it on your wrist!

Thanks Tuba, super excited to receive it. We both have some spectacular sports watches from Patek, Chopard, etc...but I think this LF is honestly heads and shoulders above the others if we are to compare equivalent pieces...

 By: holdemchamp1225 : February 2nd, 2022-23:06
in terms of quality, finishing, movement architecture, etc...it is not even close IMHO. That is the beauty of this passion. We all have our own preferences and choices. None of us is right or wrong. It just comes down to passion in the end 😉👍🙏

Congratulations

 By: MPP : February 3rd, 2022-01:25
Can I ask what makes this watch more desirable TO YOU than the Streamliner, which I think shares a somewhat similar aesthetic? I assume the finishing is higher-end on the LF. Do you also prefer the overall look or shape of the LF? I ask as someone who is ...

Although the Streamliner is nice, I do not like their ingrated bracelet design even though many do. It looks a little too much like the old Ebel bracelets to me...

 By: holdemchamp1225 : February 4th, 2022-00:10
I am also a sort of movement snob so I value the finishing and handwork found in the LF movement, whereas the Streamliner, although a nice movement, is much more Industrial. Comparing the Streamliner to this LF GS really isn't a fair fight since the price...

Thanks very much.

 By: MPP : February 4th, 2022-00:31
I very much want to try on the new LF. I actually really like the aesthetics. I just need to see whether it’s too large for my small (6.5 inch) wrists. I typically wear watches that are a bit smaller and thinner.

We have the same sized wrist and I wear watches much larger than this LF, for example I often wear a Lange Double Split, Romain Gauthier Logical One, DeBethune DB28, JLC Extreme Lab 2, etc...never had a problem with the size...

 By: holdemchamp1225 : February 4th, 2022-00:38
It really comes down to proportions and how the lugs taper as well as pairing larger watches with super supple and thicker straps which helps with comfort and fit. If you look through some of my posts, you can see how these larger watches fits since we ha...

I’ll do that. Thank you.

 By: MPP : February 4th, 2022-02:18
I’m also trying to find out whether it will be easy to swap out the bracelet for a strap and whether the bracelet has a micro adjustment.

Well said!

 By: MTR : February 3rd, 2022-10:55
And I think you made a thoughtful and well-considered decision. I like this GF, too, but would like to see it in metal before. The movement is very appealing to me! Cheers Thomas

Agreed and +1 Thomas 👍

 By: holdemchamp1225 : February 4th, 2022-00:05

Can’t wait to see it champ 🏆

 By: oyster case : February 2nd, 2022-23:31
These renderings are not ideal from which to form an opinion. Yes, I suppose it’s reminiscent of some other designs but nothing like the new Zenith Defy is 🙂. There are “Ferrier” elements that I am picking up. I could likely guess the brand without the na...

you know you deserve one :) 🦾

 By: christianch : February 3rd, 2022-19:58

I agree that this is a totally different watch 🦾 also very much under the radar

 By: christianch : February 4th, 2022-01:13
vs the Nautilus that is almost an hazard to wear now. Good to know that you secured one 👏I feel this will become the next über-Nautilus given that the finish is at a different level

Oh dear! What happened here?!

 By: sham1 : February 3rd, 2022-01:53
I see some purists liking this design but it is a big no from me. Makes the Nautilus look even more beautiful! and I am not even a fan of the Nautilus

In a nutshell.

 By: MTR : February 3rd, 2022-07:01
I have to confess I am already tired of all these blue dialed steel sports watches but from the pictures I like this LF. For me this watch has its own style (like the Moser Streamliner), and I don’t see it copying other watches (also not the Nautilus). Wi...

I like it & wait to put in on my wrist

 By: patrickh : February 3rd, 2022-08:44
Great new model. Congratulations to Laurent & Christian. Would expect a quick strap change with metal bracelet, alligator & rubber (like Vacheron Constantin Overseas offer).

I also happen to like it

 By: radone : February 3rd, 2022-17:01
And I might be the first one around to receive it 😊 R

I hope not, 'cause I have the Nautilus either 😂

 By: radone : February 3rd, 2022-20:50
I hope they'll not fight in the watch box.

ah no I think these are different watches but the same trend-purpose I know the Nautilus

 By: christianch : February 4th, 2022-01:02
but never seen this in the metal (since there is no AD where I live I probably won't ever see one) so obviously is hard to judge without in the metal experience. But I do look forward to your pics

bravo 🦾👏

 By: christianch : February 3rd, 2022-19:57
A perfect replacement for the now gone Nautilus. Better in every way (beside the price perhaps but better an higher price at source than no availability). I doubt that it would be very available BUT great idea to give to the clients what they want and not...

😉

 By: radone : February 3rd, 2022-20:55
Judging by the number of views and comments on this post, the controversy raised makes me think of the controversies raised by the RO and Nautilus some half a century ago... R

Maybe

 By: MPP : February 3rd, 2022-21:16
But as wonderful as LF watches are, the brand is not widely known and produces a very small number of watches. Who knows if the manufacture will even exist in 20 years. I think this watch, the Moser Streamliner, and the Czapek Antartique have a chance to ...

I think LF is pretty solid. Also, given that Laurent Ferrier was at Patek for many years it seems a very legitimate interpretation

 By: christianch : February 4th, 2022-01:04
of the Nautilus. The movements are made in partnership with LFD (La Fabrique du Temps, Louis Vuitton group where the son of Laurent was/is working) so I don't think that servicing the watches will be an issue. Given the current appetite for independends I...

Sport Auto serviceability should be better...

 By: athens7 : February 15th, 2022-02:36
As the LF Swiss lever movements don't use LIGA manufacturing or silicon parts in the movements, unlike the Galet Micro-Rotor. Outside of the design aesthetic and the finissage, the movement is pretty standard and should be easily serviceable, regardless o...

Gorgeous!

 By: j.delage : February 4th, 2022-01:25
I would like it better without the date, but as date windows go, this one is well done. There are plenty of good detailed pictures out now. They're worth seeking out.
