My point is that determining "dollar value" for cork boxes, Hodinkee desk clocks or Rolex Submariners is a pointless exercise. And it most certainly has very little to do with craftsmanship. You personally may attribute a great deal of value to craftsmanship which is your prerogative of course. But all it takes is searching the internet for the prices of watches to see that craftsmanship is often not the driving force behind "dollar value". Can we say that a 5711 for $60K makes sense when you can grab a minute repeater from an established Swiss brand for $40-50K?
