Before PuristSPro.com I spent a lot of time in the bookstores on my free time reading (and bought) watch magazines and books (I still do now). From there I got lots of information and knowledge from reviews, tests, news and ads.
And then I found PuristSPro.com , a much more sophisticated media where I was educated not just by the editors (moderators in this case) but by all the readers that exchange information on the horological world. A lot of up-to-date information, in-depth-knowledge, exposure on more variety of watches (especially fine-vintage watches, watches from independent watch makers), real-life on the wrist experience and most importantly, PASSION. Your PASSION on the horological world have given me a whole new point-of-view on wristwatches.
I'm relatively new to this world and so far I've been focusing my purchase on Panerai wristwatches, yet I think PuristSPro has given me a significant drive to choose certain watch in my past purchases. And it will still definitely be the source of research and information sharing place before I'm purchasing my next watch. Although I have to say final decision will still be made by myself.
I would like to thank PuristSPro to provide this great place for us to have fun and all the member for their time to share their experiences and informations

For me, it's been primarily watch forums
...then research afterwards. Multiple sources of information are critical for objectivity. I rarely use manufacturer sources (including any press releases) except to get specs and possibly better pictures.
And just to add...
Nothing beats the expertise of a trusted watch friend. Some of us are generalists (like me), other heavily specialize. Always good to surround yourself with people who know more than you do. I am always learning new things.
