PPRO has lead me to FP Journe. I have heard & seen FP Journe years before I took a plunge on it. I was curious about this brand and started reading the posts the passionate members here discussed on their new purchases. I started to dwell into my own ... 

In my case it is Panerai, I really wasn't into it before reading people's opinion and passion for them. Otherwise in general, I tend to think that we trust specialists in our network for information on cars, movies, restaurants, watches, etc. I feel PPro ... 

Before PuristSPro.com I spent a lot of time in the bookstores on my free time reading (and bought) watch magazines and books (I still do now). From there I got lots of information and knowledge from reviews, tests, news and ads. And then I found Puris... 

...then research afterwards. Multiple sources of information are critical for objectivity. I rarely use manufacturer sources (including any press releases) except to get specs and possibly better pictures.

Nothing beats the expertise of a trusted watch friend. Some of us are generalists (like me), other heavily specialize. Always good to surround yourself with people who know more than you do. I am always learning new things.

I wouldn't say that I'm a person who is easily swayed by opinions etc. However, due to the wealth of information and experiences of PuristSPro members, I do keep an open ear (or an open eye) to the opinions of other PuristS. So far, I haven't made any acq...
