I'd choose the Richard Lange jumping seconds

I think that piece is crazy underrated.

No questions…

 By: Clueless_Collector : August 7th, 2022-23:59
Actually there is…There is no question I love this brand since 2015. There is no question I dislike the current allocation policy or whatever it is happening. This is no question I may already be blacklisted lol…for buying boutique only piece or limited e...

Nice reference :)

 By: JoshTheCanadian : August 8th, 2022-00:14

That is what I do during my private time with my watches…

 By: Clueless_Collector : August 8th, 2022-00:17
I make sure every one of them get the same love and attention. Thanks for the nice comments.

Oh wow, I only noticed when you pointed it out…

 By: ArmisT : August 8th, 2022-00:29
I couldn’t see past the excellence of the collection, but that is an impressive setting of time across them all! 👌🏽

My OCD kicks in 🤪

 By: Clueless_Collector : August 8th, 2022-00:48

This way too much pressure to figure out what would take that special 12th spot…

 By: ArmisT : August 8th, 2022-00:32
either a perpetuel piece, or wait to see what may come out next.🤔

I’m also thinking in terms of function, a perpetual might be the best…

 By: Clueless_Collector : August 8th, 2022-00:44
Unfortunately what comes next will still be the same issue with allocation.

Thanks Mark….with 4 1815s on the top row, may I ask why 1815 will be a good candidate?

 By: Clueless_Collector : August 8th, 2022-00:47
Function wise, power reserve is also available on Lange 1?

That’s what caught my eye, Raymond . . .

 By: Mach : August 8th, 2022-01:24
You obviously have some strong feelings for the 1815 family. The one I saw missing and you will probably have no challenges acquiring would be the 1815 Up/Down, which is an ageless, classic beauty IMHO!

Thanks for the recommendation Mark…

 By: Clueless_Collector : August 8th, 2022-03:03
I will keep that in mind.

+1

Lange 1 Perpetual Calendar

 By: matto1 : August 8th, 2022-00:45
is my vote

I absolutely endorse your inclination for the Langematik Anniversary. So thin and wearable for a Lange and arguably their best automatic movement. I’m not familiar enough with some of the references in your collection to know if any are honey gold.

 By: BigAppleBill : August 8th, 2022-00:59
But if you don’t already own a honey gold reference, I highly recommend considering one. The slightly pale gold metal is so uniquely Lange. And btw, huge congrats on a stellar collection! Here are my three. The Langematik Anniversary is definitely my favo...

The upper left is the 1815 HG, 200th anniversary from 2015, my first Lange.

 By: Clueless_Collector : August 8th, 2022-01:37
I do love that HG Moonphase but train left. The Anniversary is very challenging to find a good condition sample and the ask is also very high. You’re thinking of the 1815 boutique chrono? May I know why?

I still lack of a perpetual calendar in my collection…

 By: Clueless_Collector : August 8th, 2022-02:24
Embarrassed to say…but you’re right a PLM might also be very nice add. Thanks for your answer.

Time flies my friend, started Nov 2015 with that 1815HG…

 By: Clueless_Collector : August 8th, 2022-16:25
Those days one can get such limited editions with no prior purchases.

Indeed!

 By: patrick_y : August 8th, 2022-19:20

Beautiful Collection!

 By: Vinnieb : August 8th, 2022-01:00
This one would fit nicely. ...

I know…but these weren’t available to me and the lucky 50 seems to hold on to them well.

 By: Clueless_Collector : August 8th, 2022-01:17
I actually like the Pt version and has been looking…haven’t found a nice, complete sample yet. Thank you for the recommendation.

Looks like you are one of the lucky darlings of the brand now…good for you to get allocations to the special limited watches,

 By: Clueless_Collector : August 8th, 2022-02:21
My time is over but I think I’ll be fine. Congrats in advance.

Thank You

 By: Vinnieb : August 9th, 2022-02:07

You have assembled a wonderful collection!

 By: als1678 : August 8th, 2022-01:01
I have bad news for you though - you might have to go for that datograph perpetual tourbillon, especially if you can find the white gold ... Or the 1815 rattrapante perpetual. You can "complete" the Lange 1 look with the perpetual, but somehow it seems to...

I kind of feeling that might be the case….bite the bullet and go for those 2 you mentioned…

 By: Clueless_Collector : August 8th, 2022-01:40
Oh boy…now I have to start preparing my will 😭😜😂

Datograph

 By: TeutonicCarFan : August 8th, 2022-01:27
Amazing grouping! Sad to see the changes at the brand.

Yes…Datograph of some sort might be the answer…

 By: Clueless_Collector : August 8th, 2022-02:22
Thank you for the input,

For me it would be gen1 chrono

 By: TeutonicCarFan : August 8th, 2022-07:12

I can’t get past the low 36hr PR…

 By: Clueless_Collector : August 8th, 2022-16:17
Which is why I got the 1815 Chrono and ZW date

That is a downfall

 By: TeutonicCarFan : August 8th, 2022-16:48
The up down fixes that but changes the dial. The larger diameter may even out the watch?

Is this heaven??

 By: Aquaracer1 : August 8th, 2022-01:58
No further questions… 😂

Such a Lovely Gathering of Superb References!

 By: walidk : August 8th, 2022-02:52
I’ve always admired your posts and passion. This is such a wonderful and colorful assembly of lovely pieces. I think your thinking re the dato perpetual tourbillon is awesome as others mentioned a PLM to mix it up or sax-o-mat would pretty much complete i...

Appreciate your kind words and nice recommendations…

 By: Clueless_Collector : August 8th, 2022-03:41
I’m honored and happy to hear my posts add some value. The watches you mentioned are definitely on my radar especially the Langematik Perpetual Calendars and I missed the opportunity to get the HG and the Dato Lumen back in the days when I still have acce...

I hear you!

 By: walidk : August 8th, 2022-05:07
It definitely becomes exhausting. Its a strange world where a customer has to hope for the ‘honor and privilege’ of spending their hard earned cash… I have become blasé about it all and don’t care for waiting, asking, bundling, and playing games: if its n...

Richard Lange jumping seconds black dial

 By: LK : August 8th, 2022-03:01
Would add something new visually and relate to the Zeitwerk in terms of complication.

True the JS complication has always been interesting…

 By: Clueless_Collector : August 8th, 2022-03:48
And then I thought the Homage to Walter Lange has some sort of similar function too. I will keep that in mind. Thanks for the input.

Datograph will be awesome.

 By: chal0072 : August 8th, 2022-04:44

Ah I got a suggestion

 By: Cookies : August 8th, 2022-06:00
The rectangular one. A caberet with big date.

I got this recommendation too and it’s an interesting model…

 By: Clueless_Collector : August 8th, 2022-06:21
I’m more of a round watch person so my one and only rectangular watch is this. I don’t wear it as much as the others. Thanks for chiming in. ...

Wow you have the cellini prince

 By: Cookies : August 8th, 2022-06:55
Extremely beautiful piece. I recalled walking past rolex boutiques in the early 2010’s and seeing this beauty on display.

Incredible collection.

 By: Watchonthewrists : August 8th, 2022-07:02
A datograph you need 😉

Why an end?

 By: amanico : August 8th, 2022-21:01

Cannot get any new pieces…pissed

 By: Clueless_Collector : August 8th, 2022-21:29

Lange 31

 By: penfriend : August 8th, 2022-08:11
would fit very well in that box! Totally different beast imho

Thanks for the input…

 By: Clueless_Collector : August 8th, 2022-15:28
I may not have the wrist to pull that one off…heavyweights 😜💪🏻

What a beautiful collection!

 By: andrea~ : August 8th, 2022-08:25
You could go crazy and add a minute repeater or a handwerkskunst piece, or maybe a rattrappante, double split or triple split

Thanks 🙏🏻

 By: Clueless_Collector : August 8th, 2022-16:33
I will try to get one that I can wear comfortably. I can’t handle too thick or heavy watches.

Fantastic Collection!

 By: Saxon : August 8th, 2022-08:31
All kind of metal, all lines covered, bravo. No tourbillon yet, no PLM and the sax-0-mat movement is missing. So a Langematik PC (RG or WG blue dial or black dial), a Lange 1 PC tourbillon would be a nice choice, Datograph PC tourbillon, or for the long h...

Thank you, indeed I thought about the 6 different family and 6 different metals from the brand…

 By: Clueless_Collector : August 8th, 2022-16:20
You’re spot on for the recommendations but unfortunately those new Langematik PC are extremely limited and all sold out, maybe not to me lol…because reserved for new clients. I’ll have to hunt and I agree it is fun finding the right one, especially my RL ...

Impressive collection you've got there

 By: George Gently : August 8th, 2022-09:43
Probably not the most popular opinion/recommandation, my dear Raymond, but I wouldn't add any Lange & Söhne timepiece. In stead I'd focus on other offerings from less arrogant brands. And maybe find a 11 piece box ;-) Regards, George

That is an option too, to be honest and appreciate the input…

 By: Clueless_Collector : August 8th, 2022-16:24
I can close the box actually because I have another German brand so this box of German made is complete. Thanks George for your input. ...

Superb family shot my friend! I say go big and shoot for the 1815 Split second perpetual.

 By: ZSHSZ : August 8th, 2022-10:27
I opted for this, Along with my 1815 chrono. Now I only have to wait two years for delivery!😜 Or you can inquire about this one, But the Langematic perpetual in PT is also a great option... ...

I gave up asking for new releases but congrats in advance you get an allocation for the new 1815 Pt Split 👍🏻

 By: Clueless_Collector : August 8th, 2022-16:15
As for the Luna, you know those 20pcs were all sold out my friend, don’t tease me….you go take the plunge first 😂😜 I like the Datograph Perpetual Tourbillon but it’s quite heavy too…and thick at 15.3mm

You know how it works, bring the tent over...🤣

 By: ZSHSZ : August 8th, 2022-16:27
You’re right this monsters are quite thick, and heavy, but when on the wrist, the satisfaction is unbelievable. As for the allocation, I went to the Boutique about five times, showed my two pieces and since then I’m in, now only if money would be an optio...

Good for you buddy…

 By: Clueless_Collector : August 8th, 2022-16:31
Now they see you as new darling with potential 👍🏻💪🏻 For me, I think my chances are going to be different. I had asked for some of those pieces you show there and all told sold out. It’s ok, if they feel like saving the “goodies” for new clients, so be it....

Agreed, this is a game I’m not willing to play. I stay with what I have and just enjoy. The only one I liked was the split seconds, since it’s platinum...

 By: ZSHSZ : August 8th, 2022-17:16
I’m getting very close to the end of the road as far as collecting is concerned(okay, maybe not with Rolex). To many watches not enough hands...🥂

My days are numbered…lol.

 By: Clueless_Collector : August 8th, 2022-20:27
This is for the successful 30s and 40s I’m also close to the end and like yourself, maybe only Rolex and Omega still loves me. Enjoy!

Datograph, Dato Perp, or Data Perp Tourbillon

 By: ik2000 : August 8th, 2022-11:33
I love your collection. The 1815 Chrono boutique would be my '1 watch only' watch. It has everything I need in life! However, it does seem strange looking at 11 beautiful Langes, and not seeing a Dato there. For me, the Dato is Lange. The flagship. The pi...

You hit all the right notes…

 By: Clueless_Collector : August 8th, 2022-16:14
I’m super tempted on a DPT to complete the range. The reason I chose the 1815 Chrono is the wearability and movement is same as Datograph. Looks like I need some more donations 😂

Well there we go, decision made, DPT it is!!

 By: ik2000 : August 8th, 2022-16:48
Looking forward to the unveiling! The salmon DPT is also acceptable

Oh dear…my days are due 🤣

 By: Clueless_Collector : August 8th, 2022-17:40

I'd choose the Richard Lange jumping seconds

 By: TRF Speedmaster : August 8th, 2022-11:49
I think that piece is crazy underrated.

That piece is attractive too…

 By: Clueless_Collector : August 8th, 2022-16:11
Thanks for the suggestion 🙏🏻

Datograph is definitely a popular choice by far from what I see…

 By: Clueless_Collector : August 8th, 2022-16:12
I’m afraid the new releases are not available to me, gave up asking.

That’s a monster piece too…

 By: Clueless_Collector : August 8th, 2022-16:28
With 4 1815s, maybe I’ll take a Tourbillon from another family model but I agree, a PLM or Tourbillon or Perpetual will complete my box.

Tough decision!

 By: watchoji : August 9th, 2022-03:54
I concur with the idea of a Perpetual Calendar... Or maybe a ZW Decimal Strike if you can find one. And you can't buy any new pieces or just no limited edition pieces?

Yes, a Langematik PC is most likely choice. ZW DS is the HG version and sold out.

 By: Clueless_Collector : August 9th, 2022-04:00
There aren’t many new releases in recent years that are not limited, right 😅? Only this year’s Grand Lange 1 and last year’s Lange 1 RG PC are not limited but I don’t get why I’m not able to get any nowadays. Like I said, I’m pissed and I’m done. ...

"Final Lange"... You're not dead yet, my friend! :)

 By: CR : August 9th, 2022-05:12
I understand the frustration, for sure! Now, on to your question... The printing and moonphase on the Dato Perpetual are too small for my taste, and the dial too cluttered. That experience doesn't improve with age As others have said, an original Dato wou...

Lol….they put a death sentence on me instead!

 By: Clueless_Collector : August 9th, 2022-05:38
I’m still puzzled and wondered what did I do wrong till this day? The fact that I’ve seen pieces that I want, told no or sold out but allocated to new(er) clients and bundling for me but not some are the final straw. I told many I have only myself to blam...

Oh god lol! Well, with 11 Langes, one would hope you're considered a "big collector"! :)

 By: CR : August 9th, 2022-16:17
You're certainly famous and influential here! A friend (who may be reading this now) ordered a platinum 1815 RPC many months ago and is hoping to get it soon. Hopefully he'll post his thoughts on it here when that happens. I wonder if both the Anniversary...

You are missing the classic, is it not obvious.

 By: greatpa : August 9th, 2022-13:04
Can you guess it? All the best.

I know many suggested the Datograph…

 By: Clueless_Collector : August 9th, 2022-13:47
I chose the newer 1815 chrono for the same movement, longer and preferred power reserve plus easier to my wrist when wearing. I hear you though, appreciate the input.

Well...

 By: greatpa : August 10th, 2022-07:52
I was thinking about a Lange 1. I mean, just a simple Lange 1 with no complications. Maybe even an early example if pre owned is your thing..

Ah…ok. I always prefer a little twist to a standard model, hence I bought the L1 moonphase.

 By: Clueless_Collector : August 10th, 2022-14:08
The earlier Lange 1 are now getting a lot of attentions, maybe only 101.022 is still reachable but Darth, Stealth’s train left.

Given that it's going to be a "final Lange"....

 By: Rhyzen : August 9th, 2022-15:20
How about the Richard Lange Minute Repeater?

You think I can get allocations for that after this post 😜😅?

 By: Clueless_Collector : August 9th, 2022-16:14
For any options, I’m thinking preloved market.

In that case, I would propose the Langematik Perpetual in black dial.

 By: Rhyzen : August 10th, 2022-13:57
I've come close on a number of occasions to pulling the trigger on that one myself....

Yeah that WG version is nice but very rarely show up…

 By: Clueless_Collector : August 10th, 2022-14:05
I think a Pt version will be great too. Thanks my friend.

Amazing Collection

 By: rld : August 10th, 2022-11:52
Amazing collection. Only one chrono though and I think a Pt Dato (I prefer the first generation version) would nicely complement what you have now. On the other hand, I agree that no collection of this level is complete without a model with a Langematik m...

Good suggestions and observations…

 By: Clueless_Collector : August 10th, 2022-14:16
I was debating where to put the empty slot because the Saxonia Thin used to be there but I moved it down since the row represents each family. Maybe you’re right my mind subconsciously thinking a L1 PC and I agree with all your points. Thanks for your kin...

Great collection!

 By: DarrenKats : August 10th, 2022-14:52
Lange 1 QP would fill out the middle Lange 1 row nicely and add the perpetual calendar complication. Or tourbillon L1 QP! OG dato platinum or of course the Dato perpetual tourbillon. Even the OG zeitwerk in white gold would be nice.

Yes, I need a perpetual calendar…

 By: Clueless_Collector : August 10th, 2022-16:29
Too many great choice but I think it’s becoming quite clear. Thanks my friend, love your collection too, all very nice ones 💪🏻

Your Lange collection is outstanding !

 By: borisundercover : October 30th, 2022-08:38
As a total outsider, looking at all these beauties, I’ll go for a model from the Cabaret line, as its case is totally different from what you already got while having a lot of charm and class. Congratulations on these 11 soon to be 12 remarkable pieces of...

Thank you for your kind words…

 By: Clueless_Collector : October 30th, 2022-15:07
The cabaret line does have a lot of character…although I’m a fan of round cases, who knows if I see one, it might work. Happy Sunday to you too.

I recommend this one, my friend

 By: south : October 30th, 2022-09:45
...

Raymond!…your comment about

 By: Darron : October 30th, 2022-15:19
Being a “smaller customer” is pretty posting this pic of a box with only 1 slot to fill is hurting your cause? 😂 Can’t you tell them you want to buy like 3-4 more watches and get in their good graces 😀

I know it sounds a bit weird….but with the new influx of bigger customers these last 2 years…

 By: Clueless_Collector : October 30th, 2022-15:24
It has become very “competitive” and I cannot play with their selective, bundling game. You know what I mean…I’m sure JG told you his story and why he’s pissed 🤫🫠

I know what you meant…

 By: Darron : October 30th, 2022-15:36
Just teasing you. But it is ridiculous that your historical purchases are not properly “counted.”

Thank you! I am indeed…

 By: south : October 30th, 2022-17:34
Very happy to have it. Then again, I was denied some further models I wanted (in particular the ZW Honey Gold Lumen).

I guessed it’s fair to spread the love to more customers then…

 By: Clueless_Collector : October 30th, 2022-18:09
Many of us were ”suggested” to buy a grand complication like 1915 Tourbillon like level in order to get a HG ZW Lumen 😅

Bar raised and getting higher, lol....

 By: Clueless_Collector : October 31st, 2022-15:28
