I've been to the AD and have tried it on for size on more than one occasion...at this point of time, I have gotten feedback that I might as well have a clock strapped to my wrist :-D No giving up though....and will keep trying!

I like the shape and position of the date window, the crown and, for a square watch, the very legible dial. You could well have the masthead two weeks running with that shot, Davo. Very nice. Andrew

I've always stayed away from Rolex...too common and boring, was my take, but have always like the Explorer II and this...so it is my favorite current Rolex too I've also changed my mind about them now that I've seen for myself the quality of their pieces....

Tom, yes you have good memory. i read and learnt from the Chronometer Wristwatch book which said that both cal.70.1 and cal.70.3 were made for the chronometer line. i am out of town, maybe i will post some pics of the movement and also the caseback which ...

Graham, in fact i was browsing the xbay that night and wanted to look for nice chronometer, out of my intention, this watch showed up to my eyes. i find it the quality is really nice and but the quoted price was a bit higher than that what i thought it va...

its sometime between 62-64 according to a local watch maker. I believe the ref number is 1625 with a 1530 movment. I have seen this referred also as a Turn-O-Graph "Thunderbird". I am also a big fan of the rotating bezel, not only in the æsthetics but als...

Hi All Wearing two watches - again! Can't seem to get out of the habit, its now considered almost normal for me at work to have two on!! Here they are - old shots, but think they show them well JLC Master moon - the older one before it got too big! Nomos ...
