Hi Graham, from what I can tell....
its sometime between 62-64 according to a local watch maker. I believe the ref number is 1625 with a 1530 movment. I have seen this referred also as a Turn-O-Graph "Thunderbird". I am also a big fan of the rotating bezel, not only in the æsthetics but also the funtionality. This was handed down from my Grandfather and I will be keeping this one......

I've been to the AD and have tried it on for size on more than one occasion...at this point of time, I have gotten feedback that I might as well have a clock strapped to my wrist :-D No giving up though....and will keep trying!

I've always stayed away from Rolex...too common and boring, was my take, but have always like the Explorer II and this...so it is my favorite current Rolex too I've also changed my mind about them now that I've seen for myself the quality of their pieces....
