I've been to the AD and have tried it on for size on more than one occasion...at this point of time, I have gotten feedback that I might as well have a clock strapped to my wrist :-D No giving up though....and will keep trying!
It's that time of the week again ... a hiatus between SIHH and Basel ... and Chinese New Year approaching. Time to dust off the watch box and select something special for the weekend ......
Hi GEO, Yes this is jade, or more correctly jadeite. The quality (and price) varies depending on translucency and the absence of internal flaws, amongst other things. A nice accoutrement for the New Year. Pleased you like it. Andrew
there are no chinese new year celebrations anywhere near me and Valentines day on sunday is for young people so my pic is one i took a few days ago when i was visiting my parents. i went to the historic city of Norwich where i was born. as i was going bac...
thanks Stefan. i'll probably put some cpear pics of the city later, but have you ever tried focusing a wristshot AND the background at the same time. it doesnt work. best G
your quite right Hans. i was born in the norfolk and norwich hospital and it has now been refurbished and turned into apartments which are for sale at the right price so if my house sells i could go right back to my roots in a very literal sense. lots of ...
Hi Graham You are right, you have all the possibilites now. Its just to take the time to find the right solution for you. When I divorced I looked at different options. Move to Germany and have a fat big car but no pay of heavy DK taxes. Move to the city ...
thankyou for your support Hans, i have plenty of time to think about where i want to live as the housing market is very slow here. as long as its a nice apartment in an historic city with views over water or countryside i will be happy. easier access to m...
Nice to see these photos and I look forward to more scenes around Norwich. These something very 'centreing' about revisiting places you grew up. My parents still live in the same house where I was born and I just love getting into my dad's garage. Many ha...
...not to mention Presidents' Day here in the US and my wife's birthday (globally) this past Tuesday. On to this week's wristshot (seems that I always end up having time for this at about 9pm Pacific on Friday night, by which time I've missed the fun, so ...

Do you find that the salespeople are interested in their history on your wrist? I wonder what an Omega Boutique will look like in another 50 years? Enjoy the weekend. Andrew
Always been one of my favorites from IWC, but it's a tad to big for my skinny wrist, so I can only wish for now...been stocking up on weight gainers so I can wear this someday ;-) HAGWE, Richard

it is, i think, a lovely thing to have a truly unique piece in your collection, something that means more to you because you asked for those changes. best and enjoy it, although i know you do Graham
I like the shape and position of the date window, the crown and, for a square watch, the very legible dial. You could well have the masthead two weeks running with that shot, Davo. Very nice. Andrew
...in fact the picture is in color, but the old picture in the background make it look like sepia. I never use photoshop, I never could figure out how it works Cheers Jeff
.. I have had days wearing 2 watches (bevause I purchase a new I needed to test), not to put the Speedie back ... I think I am addicted Best regards Hans
I've always stayed away from Rolex...too common and boring, was my take, but have always like the Explorer II and this...so it is my favorite current Rolex too I've also changed my mind about them now that I've seen for myself the quality of their pieces....
