vintage Rolex
vintage Rolex movements are just as tough &accurate as the modern stuff,I.e.,a 1927 watch swam the English channel, &a 1953 watch climbed Everest,so to speak. IMHO, vintage Rolex have more style &panache, the smaller case size being more subtle. Rolex has now joined the dark side & produce " look at me, I'm rich " bling.

Not sure about point 2, as each day brings its new lot of new Rolex fans and clients, who are very pleased with the Modern offers. We know both Modern abnd Vintage Rolex, and we clearly have our preferrences, but what about the new clients. As for point 4...

I own modern too.... so I am not totally anti-modern....there are certainly modern Rolex that i love. But ..... I love them because they are wearable versions of vintage that I dare not wear everyday.
I'm far from being anti modern, either.
There are two Rolex watches I love a lot: The Rasta Milgauss and the Yachtmaster. And for once, they are not really to be considered as re editions, clones of their Vintage sisters. They are, and that is very interesting, some fresh and inspired products....
YM has no vintage predecessor whereas the Rasta has the vintage Milgauss which..
