Patek Philippe

you should be a lawyer :)

but i will try to be the prosecutor here wink

- You don't make a tribute 5yrs later, tributes come much later down the road.
- If its a "kind of gift to their best clients", then they should do it in their salons in geneva, under the radar, and not exposing them at Saatchi expo in london, which was extremely successful by the way.
- Doing it so openly, and just 5pcs of each, don't you think that it would frustrate even more those that couldn't get the original model at list price?
- Talking about frustration, i am fine with my pieces, actually i got the opposite reaction. But i must to admit that such moves got me a little worried about how they think.
- It is about the money. When you see what they charge for those pieces, trust me Mark, doing dials, or fitting those movements in these cases, is far from justifying the price asked.
- If you asking the watches were already there, they just made new dials.
- Price asked is justified, because thoses piece will be worth much more if sold in an auction or even privately. So in a way they are taking their share of the cake, business is business. Its becoming part of the game, we didn't reach the level of how Richard Mille prices his pieces, but ethically, its not very fair to price them so far from the original model
- I can go on and on, but bottom line, when something is dead, you don't it back to life. Discontinued means the end of the series.

I enjoyed reading you post and your positive attitude Mark
