As I said before, this is very un-JLC-like.
I don't think I'll be lucky enough to get orange indexed dial. I am not saying it's more beautiful, but it's rarer in fact.
As Nicolas said JLC will change it for free. This is not a big problem. Another few months waiting is not a good news though.
My point is that why JLC does not give same opportunity to every customers of Polaris 68 for the same amount of money.
The dial change service should be available not only from orange to yellow, but also yellow from orange.
Why only lucky 60 people should enjoy the "choice?" I don't think it's fair. I am not talking about perfection as Polaris68 did but about the fairness to loyal JLC customers.
Am I alone?

P.S., This is very interesting issue anyway. Is it a genuine mistake? Or a calculated mistake by JLC? I won't be able to know the answer forever. Either case, Polaris rules!!!

When you dive, at least there is clear distinction between the hands and the dial. Maybe JLC thought along those lines, it should be seen as an updated model, not as a replica of the old model. Cheers, just my silly opinion.

It was a mistake, to speak crystal clear.

JLC did make a mistake. They had 2 options in solving the problem: They could hold up delivery of all Polaris until a new batch of "good" dials is available. A consequence of this would be that you would know nothing about the mistake and a few more month...

I think the dial and hands looks best with the same color - there would be no problem if the hands also was as dark as the "off color". So... Maby you can ask JLC to change the color of the hands instead of getting a new dial.....?!?
