A new Amvox is born: The Amvox 5.
After the Amvox I, II and III, here comes the Amvox ... V!
Revealed at the last SIHH, we had to wait a bit before posting any pictures and informations on this new member of the Amvox Family.
It will be released in a Ceramic / Titanium case ( Limited Edition of 300 pieces ), or Ceramic / Rose Gold Case ( Limited Edition of 200 pieces ).
As you can see, the Amvox V movement ( Cal 752, which is the same than in the Extrem World Compressor ) associates 2 complications, the Chronograph, and the World Time, which is, in my opinion, a superb combination.
You will also be familiar with the design of the dial, which is very close to the Amvox II DBS, with the center part of the dial which is open, letting see some elements of the movement, as shown on the picture below:
The size too, is common to what we're used to see on an Amvox watch, with a 44mm case.
At is an Amvox, it has to be customized... You will notice the name of Gaydon, the Aston Martin HQ, instead of London.
Here are the first pictures I was able to quickly take in Geneva.

means death. But hey, JLC is french-Swiss identity. I would buy an Amvox 4 if it's a hit. Now the Amvox 5 got my heart racing, esp the limited editions.Damn, they are smart in marketing.

I think it's good
The Tribute to Geophysic - even if available to the wealthy customer - has a lot of a prototype to me. It absolutely does not hurt if some of its design elements find their way into a somewhat less radical model and thereby create a sense of family bounds...

It is difficult to beat such a concept...IMO. Introducing another Chrono just after the A II is not an esay thing, as everybody is tempted to compare it to the Sister. I guess we need time to get used to the presence of these pushers...Which is weird, at ...

...but I bet a lot of folks will love it. There's just way too much going on for me on the dial of this watch -- chrono counters, waffle pattern, open dial, world timer display...it's all a jumble of information IMO. Between the two, the titanium/ceramic ...

The DBS is an Amvox II. Some love it, others not. As for the Amvox III, it is exactly the same. It is all a matter of taste, and regarding this matter, this is really subjective. I think the Amvox V needs a bit of time to be fully appreciated...or hated. ...

I'm just starting to experiment with some watch photography. I used natural light (and it's not sunny..) so that limited my options but this was the best of the bunch.
