means death. But hey, JLC is french-Swiss identity. I would buy an Amvox 4 if it's a hit. Now the Amvox 5 got my heart racing, esp the limited editions.Damn, they are smart in marketing.

4 is not a " Death " number only for Chinese, but for all the Asian, and even if it only concerned Chinese, it makes a lot of people! JLC is not the only brand to have avoided such cultural things. I remember that on certain markets, the Toyota Miata didn...

Looking at Nicolas' first picture of the ceramic/RG version I immediately had the feeling of looking at something I had seen before: The colour combination, the hands(!), the white numerals, the open dial. And then suddenly I knew: I must say the RG versi...

The Tribute to Geophysic - even if available to the wealthy customer - has a lot of a prototype to me. It absolutely does not hurt if some of its design elements find their way into a somewhat less radical model and thereby create a sense of family bounds... 

The TT Geophysic is indeed a strong looking and interesting concept watch, IMO. At first sight, I was not in love with, now I begin to reconider my position on it. I think we have to let some time to the Amvox V, too. Best, my friend. Nicolas

Oh, when you mentioned "I'll share my appreciation about these new Amvoxes a bit later....I'm looking forward to see the new Amvox VI," in a post below, I though yoiu already knew of the next AMVOX. Even if you do, I understand you would not be in a posit... 

If I knew something about the Amvox VI, I would certainly not say it... I have mixed feelings on this Amvox V. I find the association Chrono / WT very appealing, but as an Amvox II fan, I'm totally mad about the idea of a Chrono without pushers, so I can'...

So Amvox returns back to the chronograph controlled by traditional push-buttons. Is it to be interpreted as a sign of discontinuation to the vertically controlled one, by svivelling saphire? For what reasons? (E.g., quality/reliability reasons, or simply ... 

Not for reliability reasons, as the first issues on the Amvox II were perfectly solved. Just because ( it is my guess ) it was one page of the JLC History which is now turned, without any other explanation. BUT maybe one day, we'll have the same system ad...

It is difficult to beat such a concept...IMO. Introducing another Chrono just after the A II is not an esay thing, as everybody is tempted to compare it to the Sister. I guess we need time to get used to the presence of these pushers...Which is weird, at ... 

thank you my friend for this presentation..... as you know quite well, I have very strong feelings regarding the Amvox lines.... I really like the concept of the unique push glass... very original and superb..... plus the lack of buttons is very elegant a...

As others pointed out the watch is very recognizable as an Amvox, which is of course a good thing. For me the world time ring makes the dial a bit messy. So although it is an interesting combination I don't think it makes the chronograph more useful. I th...

as a replacement for the Amvox I which is the nicest of the lot as far as I am concerned. I'm just not to fond of busy dials. So put that 956 caliber in a slightly new case and make me a happy guy! Thanks for the post. Best, Starman

and like the glimpse or two of the cal. 752, don't get to see that one too often, as a matter of fact I've only come across one somewhat decent picture of it on the Internet. Does anyone have a good hi-res picture of this calibre?

But you have to know that I saw this Amvox V among many other JLC novelties, so it was almost impossible to have all, and to have the time to have all the informations in Geneva. This watch had to be revealed to the Public some months after, so there was ...

As JLC, some years ago, told me the same story. And, if I remember well, I could observe these Jaeger Intruments on Vintage Aston Cars...But ont only Aston Cars. There is, indisptubaly, a link between cars and watches. Best, Nicolas

...but I bet a lot of folks will love it. There's just way too much going on for me on the dial of this watch -- chrono counters, waffle pattern, open dial, world timer display...it's all a jumble of information IMO. Between the two, the titanium/ceramic ... 

Aesthetically, it is a strong looking watch. I expected, maybe, to have a different design for the dial...New watch, new dial design. But the association of a WT and a Chrono will please, I'm pretty sure of that. Thanks for your input, Sister! Best, Nicol...

Amvox1&2 were marvelous, Amvox 3 and DBS, a little bit less interest, this one, without alarm or chrono by the glass, is boring, technically and esthetically. Somes pics:...  

The DBS is an Amvox II. Some love it, others not. As for the Amvox III, it is exactly the same. It is all a matter of taste, and regarding this matter, this is really subjective. I think the Amvox V needs a bit of time to be fully appreciated...or hated. ...

Does anyone know why JLC seem to have stopped using the "S" prefix for daylight saving on recent worldtime models? I thought that was a good thing, albeit a bit messy on the dial. Without it, doesn't it mean that reading overseas location time is only acc...

This and other threads on here were very helpful in pointing me towards the Ceramic and Rose Gold Amvox 5 I ended up purchasing last year. What a great watch... Thanks again.

The dial detail as well as some of the case finishing is superb... ...  

I'm just starting to experiment with some watch photography. I used natural light (and it's not sunny..) so that limited my options but this was the best of the bunch.
