Thanks
I'm just starting to experiment with some watch photography. I used natural light (and it's not sunny..) so that limited my options but this was the best of the bunch.
I think it's good

The Tribute to Geophysic - even if available to the wealthy customer - has a lot of a prototype to me. It absolutely does not hurt if some of its design elements find their way into a somewhat less radical model and thereby create a sense of family bounds...
Agreed on this, Martin.

The TT Geophysic is indeed a strong looking and interesting concept watch, IMO. At first sight, I was not in love with, now I begin to reconider my position on it. I think we have to let some time to the Amvox V, too. Best, my friend. Nicolas
Sorry to rush you. ;-D

Oh, when you mentioned "I'll share my appreciation about these new Amvoxes a bit later....I'm looking forward to see the new Amvox VI," in a post below, I though yoiu already knew of the next AMVOX. Even if you do, I understand you would not be in a posit...
Well, I was kidding, Respo

If I knew something about the Amvox VI, I would certainly not say it... I have mixed feelings on this Amvox V. I find the association Chrono / WT very appealing, but as an Amvox II fan, I'm totally mad about the idea of a Chrono without pushers, so I can'...
Chronograph controls
By: sery.vlk : April 13th, 2010-07:56
So Amvox returns back to the chronograph controlled by traditional push-buttons. Is it to be interpreted as a sign of discontinuation to the vertically controlled one, by svivelling saphire? For what reasons? (E.g., quality/reliability reasons, or simply ...
Its a really nice watch

My personal favorite is, however still the Amvox II.... "GAYDON"....LOL...thats funny ;-) thanks Nicolas, we love you, Dude Beavis & Butthead This message has been edited by ChristianOfDenmark on 2010-04-13 10:28:17 This message has been edited by Christi...
First of all.....
By: MiniCooper : April 13th, 2010-10:29
thank you my friend for this presentation..... as you know quite well, I have very strong feelings regarding the Amvox lines.... I really like the concept of the unique push glass... very original and superb..... plus the lack of buttons is very elegant a...
Yeah, what do I think
By: Maverik : April 13th, 2010-11:57
As others pointed out the watch is very recognizable as an Amvox, which is of course a good thing. For me the world time ring makes the dial a bit messy. So although it is an interesting combination I don't think it makes the chronograph more useful. I th...
In terms of Alarm watches, I guess it was not the time to introduce another one, Starman
By: amanico : April 13th, 2010-14:10
We had the NSA, the Polaris, the Master Memovox ( this year ), the Memovox International, so I guess that another alarm watch would have been too much, this year. I'm certain that w For the moment, the amvox V fills a blank, or better said, some here and ...
Not for me...
By: dxboon : April 14th, 2010-21:10
...but I bet a lot of folks will love it. There's just way too much going on for me on the dial of this watch -- chrono counters, waffle pattern, open dial, world timer display...it's all a jumble of information IMO. Between the two, the titanium/ceramic ...
Indeed, it won't be everyone's cup of tea, Daos.
By: amanico : April 14th, 2010-22:51
Aesthetically, it is a strong looking watch. I expected, maybe, to have a different design for the dial...New watch, new dial design. But the association of a WT and a Chrono will please, I'm pretty sure of that. Thanks for your input, Sister! Best, Nicol...

About the Amvox V, I think it needs time to fully appreciate it, and also time to forget a bit the A II, which is, IMO, a very important watch, in the Amvox family. I strongly believe that it is all about another page, as well as other Amvoxes to come. Th...
Well, Malik,
By: amanico : April 15th, 2010-15:32
The DBS is an Amvox II. Some love it, others not. As for the Amvox III, it is exactly the same. It is all a matter of taste, and regarding this matter, this is really subjective. I think the Amvox V needs a bit of time to be fully appreciated...or hated. ...
Daylight Saving
By: robbo400 : April 16th, 2010-05:16
Does anyone know why JLC seem to have stopped using the "S" prefix for daylight saving on recent worldtime models? I thought that was a good thing, albeit a bit messy on the dial. Without it, doesn't it mean that reading overseas location time is only acc...
