About the Amvox V, I think it needs time to fully appreciate it, and also time to forget a bit the A II, which is, IMO, a very important watch, in the Amvox family.
I strongly believe that it is all about another page, as well as other Amvoxes to come.
The page one has gone, as well as the page two.
Others are still " alive "...Page III ( Amvox III ), and now, Page V.
Others are still to be written, and I'm sure that they will be exciting, too.
As for the fact that JLC avoided the 4, to directly jump on the V, I think it is smart, and better, respectful to the Culture of some of us.
Let's imagine a guy who is " desperately " in love with the watch, but who won't dare get it because of he number?

The Tribute to Geophysic - even if available to the wealthy customer - has a lot of a prototype to me. It absolutely does not hurt if some of its design elements find their way into a somewhat less radical model and thereby create a sense of family bounds...

The DBS is an Amvox II. Some love it, others not. As for the Amvox III, it is exactly the same. It is all a matter of taste, and regarding this matter, this is really subjective. I think the Amvox V needs a bit of time to be fully appreciated...or hated. ...
