Jaeger Lecoultre Amvox 7: A redesigned Amvox 2?

Introduced in the catalog in 2012, unveiled a bit later in the year, this is an Amvox we didn't discuss very often.

Compared to the Amvox 2, you have many common points, such as the titanium case ( 44 mm ) and the concept: A pivoting case which allows to use the chronograph functions without pushers.

So, yes, this is a short way to say that the Amvox 7 is a re designed 2, with a new dial, inspired from the Aston Martin Vanquish front grill,  and a crown which is re shaped, too.

Now, the big difference with the 2 is that the 7 offers a " double radial " power reserve. Totally wound, the 2 parts of the power reserve are becoming totally red, and go near 12 o' clock.

A video of the watch:

The radial power reserve is something we saw as soon as 2009, with the Extreme Lab 2, but the double power reserve is hitherto unseen.

ìt is a pretty cool looking watch, but I was expecting a superlative Amvox II, with a double pivoting case, to tell you the truth.

Top / Bottom for the Chronograph, Left / Right for another complication, such as a GMT, for example. Push on the left, you go GMT +1, push on the right, and you go GMT -1.

That was the Amvox 2 I was waiting for... But now, this will never happen, since the collaboration between Aston Martin and JLC is over...

What do you think of this Amvox 7?

Best,

Nicolas
