Nice thoughtful touches to the design of the Amvox, and yay, no more scratches and dings

...the de facto No. IV. Just a guess, however. And the theory that "4" is considered an unlucky number seems like an equally valid guess as to why there is no AMVOX IV.

An exciting day! JLC always holds something back from SIHH...which I think is a great strategy. And of course the timing of the announcement is very good.
Well, you know I am in full agreement with you on the strength of combining a chronograph with the world time function. I wonder what the thickness is on this model.
Did you mention an AMVOXV VI.....?????
Thanks again for sharing the information and photos, as always.
Best,

Oh, when you mentioned "I'll share my appreciation about these new Amvoxes a bit later....I'm looking forward to see the new Amvox VI," in a post below, I though yoiu already knew of the next AMVOX. Even if you do, I understand you would not be in a position to share just yet.
Impatiently yours,

Sums up my feelings exactly, albeit I have not yet seen one of these in the metal.
You got me!!! -- I thought you had insight as to the VI. But you see I am already set to skip over the V...
Thanks.

So Amvox returns back to the chronograph controlled by traditional push-buttons.
Is it to be interpreted as a sign of discontinuation to the vertically controlled one, by svivelling saphire? For what reasons? (E.g., quality/reliability reasons, or simply users disliked the fingerprints on the crystal? .-)) )
Or is it rather the lack of willingness to adjust the 752 movement to the vertically controlled system? - Any hint/opinion on this?
My personal favorite is, however still the Amvox II....
"GAYDON"....LOL...thats funny ;-)
thanks Nicolas, we love you, Dude
