Point 1 and 4 are subjective, while point 2 and 3 are absolutely fair and indisputable.
Fair and indisputable because finishing can be extensively inspected and analyzed; a bad anglage, aka scratchage, is not acceptable in any high end watch.
For me EVERY WATCH whose price is more than 20k belongs to your Tier 2.
If Journe and Chopard sell entry levels at that figure, can we set it as the standard for Tier 2?
I'd think so.
Digital cameras are impartial and more comfortable than loupes.
Each of us can compare those stunning photos and fill a list like you did, but if i had the chance, i would ask to the any owner of a Dufour how can he enjoy his watch.
Wearing a monocle all day long, trying to look at the anglage?
Sometimes we feel the excellence, more than seeing it.
I think we could long debate these subjects, but what is certain for me is that some features should always be used to grade a watch.
What is really important to me is that we never stop questioning, asking, even commanding truth and honesty.
I leave with these un-finished baseplate.
