If you read Ludwig's advice from "My Descent into Hell - The Mind of a Watch Addict" you should buy the piece you want from the start....
However as you may come to learn more and your tastes might change this might not work. Currently this would get you the Daytona. Which you might come to regret as a result. For all of its free sprung Breguet overcoil column wheel 2s/d goodness it is not the authentic NASA qualified badboy and neither is the FOIS.
As a first step ( pun intended) there would be no better choice than a 3570.50 (Hesalite) Speedy. Buy it wear the hell out of it whilst you continue learning about all the horological heritages.
Then decide if you really want to take the giant leap and strap on all the baggage that comes with adorning a Rolex and especially being the 'one with a Daytona' the watch that noone can get but everybody has.
An FOIS has great credentials but for the NASA certified bit. If you can overlook the aesthetic fails that make it NOT a 2998, it can work. I like it all the same.
If you are still undecided, just get a Seiko Diver while you mull things over. Still family owned inhouse movement 
and always worth a place in your future collection.

Go for the one. Save for the one. This is not that this Omega is a bad watch...
This is just that it didn't steal your heart like the Daytona did. So, save for the one you really like. When short in money, no time for the second choices. Best, and welcome here! Nicolas
I will take the other side of the coin. There is no right or wrong.
The omega is no slouch. It is a watch that has history, allure, class etc. It will serve you well and is 1/2 to 1/4 of the price of the Daytona. If you can swing it enjoy a nice vintage Omega Speedy it should retain it value and you can sell in in a coupl...

No Grand Seiko, vintage or otherwise Something tells me that you are not the person who will stop with one watch, Daytona or otherwise. In which case you might want to consider starting with the Omega, as it may allow you additional watches sooner. If you...

Personally, I would go for a vintage handwind Speedmaster. I have one from 1971 and it's a great piece and never fails, it also has the kind of style that can fit into any occasion. As stated before, it won't depreciate in price. The Daytona is nice, but ...

I know that money is really important for a young man who wants to enter in the high horology field. If I can give you only one advice is to let your heart talk.
If you must wait for a long time before buying the watch you absolutely want to own and wear... well, it worth to wait IMHO. But, you will see, you will not want to own only one watch ;-) Best wishes Alkiro
You most definitely will not stop at 1 watch.
