Personally, I would go for a vintage handwind Speedmaster. I have one from 1971 and it's a great piece and never fails, it also has the kind of style that can fit into any occasion. As stated before, it won't depreciate in price.
The Daytona is nice, but it might be an idea to keep this as a "grail" watch and leave it as something to aim for.
