not what a bunch of strangers on the World Wide Web tell you. When I was your age, I bought my first Rolex. By then, it was already 15 years old, but I still wear that lug hole tritium 16600. By then, I'd already been burned financially and by owner experience on a TAG Monaco, half a dozen vintage Girard Perregaux and an Oris Day Date Moonphase. Each one taught me about the fiddly things of watch ownership. If you want good resale value because you're careful with money, one of the brands you mention will give it. With the other chrono, buy secondhand, privately. If you want to handwind your chrono, buy the Speedy. If not, Daytona. I don't like the 12 hour totaliser positioned at 9, because it looks odd. I have a Zenith Daytona, because of the totaliser layout... So buy what you like. If you have to save up, so be it. If you're willing to wait and get what you really want, you'll appreciate it instead of being a crazy watch flipper in his late 20s like me who's had more watches than there are days in February

I will take the other side of the coin. There is no right or wrong.
The omega is no slouch. It is a watch that has history, allure, class etc. It will serve you well and is 1/2 to 1/4 of the price of the Daytona. If you can swing it enjoy a nice vintage Omega Speedy it should retain it value and you can sell in in a coupl...
