rather, limited to the number they an sell...
and then maybe produce some more???
Let me give you an example....
I bought a JLC Amvox 2 in pink gold...
The JLC boutique ( mind you the boutique not an AD) assured me that this will be
the only one in ros gold ever produced.... Unfortunately I believed them....
Surprise surprise, the was another one produced a year and a half a year later, slightly
different, but another "limited edition"....
Granted I did like the watch, but I did not appreciate being "misinformed" by JLC....
Then there was a Paris racing edition which was supposed to be the only boutique one, and then
there was the Madrid edition.... Reminds me of the ten little Indians that here were none, only in
reverse.....
I would have preferred if they said that it was a limited product that a limited edition....
More honest....
AP is a bit similar in their RO and ROO limited editions...
But, now, everybody expects them...
Panerai is similar also.....
Whenever I see a limited edition, I think twice, but at the end I will buy the watch (or not)
based on whether I really like the watch and pay no attention if it is limited or not....
For example, I own a Blancpain Tribute to FF, but Bancpain never claimed that there will be
no more Tributes and love the watch....
Cheers
