Horological Meandering

Good and bad...

Good - they make special dial, hands, or combination of both.  Sometimes the entire model is LE, because it does not commercially make sense to make unlimited (Enamel dial ones in general, and GS LEs come to mind - they are all supercharged in terms of accuracy and that is horologically commendable)...  So, it is good because the fanatics can get what they normally can't (and some elitism here, I admit).

Bad - as some brand does, LE just in order to raise or maintain the value....  This is not good for not-brand-specific watch fans because they might tend MORE to stay away from that brand, hating the guts or its too-commercial marketing strategy.

But, to me, overall I like LE because I don't think I have ever purchased or fell on the trap of LE marketing strategy yet - I got a few LEs which I truly love and some I chased and chased.

Just my 2 yen.
