Horological Meandering

I can't do it

I have discussed this point with a close watch collector friend and given many serious thoughts to it, especially if I wanted to consider a very serious high end piece, e.g. Minute repeater.

But I have spent so many years researching and hunting for very specific pieces, that parting with any is like losing a child. I too  keep a spreadsheet on my pieces and the wear days. Unlike others on the forum,I rarely wear a piece more than one day.  Thus I can cycle all my pieces routinely.   When I analyze the spreadsheet if I have not worn a piece either it goes to the top to wear, or then I can consider it for a trade. That has happened only once for me.

So, once in 14 years, I guess I am pretty consistent. But, 2014 there are gong to be a couple of really outstanding releases.  I guess I may have to rethink my plan, if I want that MR!  smile

Best,

Joe
