Perhaps it's mainly directed as a thing for owners, somewhat like car clubs or, to stay with watches, the LOG. It's up to the creators of the "club" to determine the entry/membership rules I suppose and at a some level of granularity quite similiar to having
- served in a particular unit or division to wear a certain patterned tie;
- paid funds to join certain London clubs;
- having a certain combination of qualities to join the Bullingdon; and
- owned a pair of shoes from a certain make to join the Swann Club.
All different. All the same. We don't cry foul over these do we?
FP Journe have announced.....................
On their website the start of the new "Le Club", which a forum exclusively for their pieces. To become a member you will have to provide evidence, that you own one of their timepieces.

Yes I agree ownership should not be the only criteria, there are some friends who have the passion and the knowledge so keeping in mind their abilities JlC should make them 'Honorary Members' what say?

As a relative newbee to the PP site and having recently acquired an FPJ Octa RA, what were the issues that caused the FPJ forum to be closed? Am I missing something?

If FP Journe had a dinner only for select customers had already owned a watch, I don't see how anybody could complain. Isn't opening a discussion forum limited to existing customers sort of the same thing? Nevertheless, I think it reflects poorly on them....
