Great question ! Undeniably two of the most iconic rectangular watches.
I am blessed to have both (Classic medium Reverso and Rose Gold Tank Louis). They will stay on the collection.
The Reverso is more sporty with a bit of elegance coming from the dial. As such, I can wear it in almost any outfit, from suite to TShirt with jeans.
I just wish it has more water resistance, as it was created as a sport watch.
The Tank Louis, especially in rose or yellow gold, is pure elegance, an utmost beauty of dress watch. So i never wear it with T shirt and jeans. It should be worn with formal suit IMHO.
Both of these will stay as a iconic watches from 2 great
Houses, and likely they will do their best to preserve the original design.
My personal opinion is that The Reverso is more comparable to Cartier Santos Dumont, as a sporty (not sport) watch.

For me, the Art Deco lines of the Reverso really speak to me much more than the Cartier. I really like the Cartier, but the Reverso just feels more special to me. Je ne sais quoi. I don't know why I like the Reverso more, but I just do!
Both have a great history and will continue to be classic choices.
To me a basic non date gold Cartier Tank is slightly more the conservative choice. A flamboyant person may choose the Reverso. But either will be winners.

No, mine is the previous generation of mid-size
The size is 25.2 x 42.3. A bit bigger than the new one. I think the new size is fine for most of wrist. The bigger size or "tribute" size is definitely wears much bigger at 27 x 45 mm.

I find the Cartier to be more demure, sophisticated, and elegant. However, I love the sporting nature in the history of the reverso.
