The direction is not a problem,
as long as the TPD in the desired direction is enough to wind it... That is why some good names in the winder trade have always bidirectional movement (eg WEMPE, Underwood et al.)
So if the watch is winded the CW or CCW is OK... One of my Paul Picot watches developed problem in the reserve de marche indication that I think is due to overwinding but not in the bidirectional winding...
that is why I think we must have more information from the watch and not the winder companies..

Bill, Thanks for the response... Yes I heard about the clutch, that does not let overwinding to happen... But does not that means that this poor cluch takes action almost continuously???... The problem with winders is that the only literature one can get ...
