I see that also with several of my watches
To be honest I am not sure if you can over wind a watch. I always hear about a clutch mechanism that protects from over winding.
I hope some of the experts around here can shed some thoughts. But in general I would say the jury is out on that one.

Bill, Thanks for the response... Yes I heard about the clutch, that does not let overwinding to happen... But does not that means that this poor cluch takes action almost continuously???... The problem with winders is that the only literature one can get ...
