Broken watchwinder
The winder for my 5327 have eaten quite a few batteries in the past 3 years and occasionally stopped to then restart again. In other words, it has been a bit flimsy. Now it has stopped all the way and a search on the internet doesnt look promising. Here referring to an article from Orbita that mentions a defective Breguet winder which simply cannot be repaired! orbita.net

Coupling my experience with the info in the article, it seems to me the watchwinder is a beautiful, bit poor product. Although out of warranty, I hope Breguet will fix it for me and in that connection, I'd like to know whether you have had problems with your Breguet watch winder?

To be honest I am not sure if you can over wind a watch. I always hear about a clutch mechanism that protects from over winding. I hope some of the experts around here can shed some thoughts. But in general I would say the jury is out on that one. Bill

The direction is not a problem,
as long as the TPD in the desired direction is enough to wind it... That is why some good names in the winder trade have always bidirectional movement (eg WEMPE, Underwood et al.) So if the watch is winded the CW or CCW is OK... One of my Paul Picot watch...
