Exactly my thoughts...
Since I've taken almost the same thread to the HorologicalMeandering's forum, my thoughts are exactly like yours my friend, as I already stated on the other thread... The watches are far too expensive, to leave them not working or working continuously without knowing what is right or wrong... The winders companies try to convince us that the constant exercise is the best thing, but they have every interest to do so, to sell the sometimes, VERY big price of their products..
So, our moderators, the moderators of a site of watch enthusiasts as the PuristS is, must use the PuristS power and clout to make them give us some answers.. (The example of a car's manual and a watch of the same price manual is very apt)...

Bill, Thanks for the response... Yes I heard about the clutch, that does not let overwinding to happen... But does not that means that this poor cluch takes action almost continuously???... The problem with winders is that the only literature one can get ...

I for one don't believe in the watch winders... At least Twice per month, I wind my watches by myself. But I'll ask to JLC what they think about the watch winders, and I let you know. Ok, Ok...Even if I don't believe in these watch winders...I'll do it. L...

The winder for my 5327 have eaten quite a few batteries in the past 3 years and occasionally stopped to then restart again. In other words, it has been a bit flimsy. Now it has stopped all the way and a search on the internet doesnt look promising. Here r...
