Automotive

Both sides

I had the pleasure driving on both sides of the Atlantic.

The 70’s 80’s US and European versions didn’t differ that much.

Most notably differences:

*. US versions 90% automatic Europe 90% manual. (Not for “sport” reasons but automatic gearbox was more expensive”

*.The US versions typically had those oversized bumpers (to comply with safety regulations) which most Europeans detested

* California registered cars had additional emission rules.

But our friend Mike can tell us much much more about that.
