Too funny, I missed the strap aspect of this week
Mar 15, 2019,12:39 PM
I went with latest piece added to the collection ๐ฌ
One can hardly see the actual strap in these pics.
Cheers,
Tim

Hello all, As announced, this week's theme is 'New Shoes'. Let us see your (good or bad) combinations, ideas, changes, and modifications. I really look forward to this one, as we all keep tinkering. I will play with... My most aesthetically successful str...

Maybe Milgauss?
Geophysic?
By: Baron - Mr Red : March 15th, 2019-01:40
Well, both are amagnetic, but other than that definitely not a Geophysic. Itโs your favourite Calatrava.
Yeah, I really like it.
By: zabreg1 Mr White : March 14th, 2019-07:51
But the quality of the strap is not great, and you know my talents... I really should get another, better one.
+1! [nt]

Very nice, Claes.
By: zabreg1 Mr White : March 14th, 2019-08:40
I especially like the distressed one. But the orange one is more coordinated.
Thnx
By: claes_t : March 16th, 2019-03:42
Ruggedly handsome like its owner maybe...
Thanks! [nt]

By: Arie - Mr Orange : March 17th, 2019-07:24
since I am a hopeless case of strapaholism ...
By: Marcus Hanke : March 14th, 2019-09:40
... barely a new watch keeps its original strap or bracelet, once it is in my possession. Changing straps is among my favourite activities around my watches, only topped by buying a new tiempiece. Sometimes, it is quite a challenge to find a new and well ...
Not so bad ...
By: Marcus Hanke : March 14th, 2019-09:44
Since here, in medical rehabilitation, I do not have access to all watch picture files at home. Otherwise I would have spent some hours to select only two watches as asked. Marcus
Well, I hope you get well soon.
By: zabreg1 Mr White : March 14th, 2019-21:26
And yeah, I had to limit this, otherwise some people could easily post 100+ combos. And I donโt want to be responsible for judges getting carpal tunnel syndrome.
I take offense.
By: zabreg1 Mr White : March 14th, 2019-21:27
You know thatโs my special talent. Even the โstrongest I could findโ strap from our friend up north lasted 2 weeks on the DSA.
Very cool!
By: KMII : March 17th, 2019-02:15
Puppy approved, too ๐๐ป
Love it!
By: zabreg1 Mr White : March 14th, 2019-11:23
Iโm afraid to try anything with mine and I donโt like the bracelet. Yours is great.
No reason to be afraid: it is dead simple
By: COUNT DE MONET : March 14th, 2019-11:33
to remove the Oyster Strap but a little fiddly to put the spring bars back on, still managable though. There is no way of scratching the case. During jogging this morning: ...
True, if you stick with the diving theme
By: COUNT DE MONET : March 16th, 2019-04:49
But with a pilot strap it looks more like military watch, more like an universal tool watch. I like the new look more and more!
Thank you CC for your view on this.
By: COUNT DE MONET : March 14th, 2019-13:59
Now I can wear it daily without thinking about scratching the bracelet and it looks even better!
Big Me Up
By: Ubik : March 14th, 2019-11:08
Been too long, still thinking of you all and the many good times... Here's a strap I had made to add a little pop to small watch I just couldn't resist. ...
Thanks

clicked my heels and woke up here I heard the lunatics had taken over the Asylum. Hope all is well with you and yours D. ...
I like this contrast.
By: zabreg1 Mr White : March 14th, 2019-21:30
A somewhat utilitarian looking strap, matched with the silvery dial looks great.
Great theme my dear friend Zabreg!! And beautiful watches and straps combo
By: Subexplorer : March 14th, 2019-13:45
to illustrate the thread opening!! Iโm a strapaholic like our friend Marcus said!! Itโs amazing to view how a set of straps can change the character of a watch and enhance its charm for its owner. Also... it is almost a part of the fun in a brand like Pan...
Thanks for the great photos, as always.
By: zabreg1 Mr White : March 14th, 2019-23:40
That Hirsch is great, I have a similar one, but, sadly, never use it. As for the PAM straps, that's an overload. I like the combo on the Luminor you singled out the best of all shown. That last photo shows the true 'tool watch' status.
Thanks a lot for your kind comments dear friend Zabreg!!
By: Subexplorer : March 15th, 2019-13:16
agree with you: some times I feel I got an overload of straps!! Lol! Iโm happy to know you like the yellow straps with blue accents for my Pam 87!! Always a pleasure to participate in our WS feature!! Hagwe!! Abel
You strapoholic you!!!
By: Ares501 - Mr Green : March 16th, 2019-01:58
Great entries as always dear Abel! Cheers D
What a strap. Great job.
By: zabreg1 Mr White : March 14th, 2019-23:41
I love everything about it, but that buckle is out of this world.

Hi As we're talking about new shoes, better choose ones made in Northampton! Cheers JML ...
Nicely paired, jml.
By: zabreg1 Mr White : March 14th, 2019-23:42
Cool Oris with an obvious sense of style.
Absolutely perfect!
By: KMII : March 17th, 2019-02:25
The first one I like best - not that any of the others are anything but cool ๐๐ป
Yep, see my response to Cc!
By: Tim Jackson : March 15th, 2019-12:42
In my haste to post, I completely missed the concept of this weekโs Wristscan! Oh well๐ Cheers, Tim
Superb!

Big congrats dear Tim!
Time for some lizard
By: NT931 : March 14th, 2019-20:00
I find lizard works better with simple dials, like this Cal 89. ...
Lizard. Old school.
By: zabreg1 Mr White : March 14th, 2019-23:44
I really does work best on vintage, simple dials. A beautiful and rarely seen IWC.
Thanks dear friends!
By: NT931 : March 17th, 2019-07:29
I find lizard straps often hard to match, but this one was a fortuitous match.
There it is. My inspiration.
By: zabreg1 Mr White : March 14th, 2019-23:46
Your first photo is what got me to go with the white strap for the DSA. So, for me, that's the winner, but I am incredibly biased here. For the El Primero, I prefer the second one, but both are great.
thank you
By: Watcholic_id : March 15th, 2019-23:57
it's from Hodinkee. i also have the dove grey from Molequin, it's a bit darker from this one. but the Molequin's dove grey will pair nicely too cheers
LOL!

Wow, So Many Good Entries!!

The judges this week are going to have a very hard time Here is my sole submission. I've just realized that I am supremely boring as this is one of only two pieces in my collection that is not on the original OEM strap. I really need to acquire some creat...
An interesting combo.
By: zabreg1 Mr White : March 15th, 2019-09:57
Definitely changes the context of the watch, makes it more โsportyโ, if thatโs something you can say about DB.
Very cool combos, Zabreg!
By: KMII : March 15th, 2019-10:07
Here are some of mine: - P15 on a grey pachyderm - Seiko SRQ019 with the honey colored chicken leg leather strap ๐ HAGWE! ...
Well...
By: KMII : March 17th, 2019-00:32
Itโs actually really fun. And as the legs would otherwise get eaten... at any rate, nothing wasted ๐
Difficult one!
By: Alex83 : March 15th, 2019-14:22
.. I mean, choosing only 2 watches. The first thing I do when buying a new watch is getting colorful straps for it! I will go with the latest ones I've played with... The rolex Pepsi and patek aquanaut. Cheers! Alex ...

Since I got the PanoInverse FirstGen last year I have been wondering why G.O. never have tried to sell it to the Ladies. Here on my wife's wrist on a Chopard caoutchouc that never fails to radiate its Stawberry fragrance. Indeed, they build such things Be...
For her it just adds that certain amount if fashion.
By: stromer : March 17th, 2019-05:13
What unfortunately is lost a little in the photo is the fact that the color of the strap exactly matches the color of the rubies on the dial. This way the strap even somehow respects the nature of the watch. Have a great weekend my dear friend, Martin
Well, I mounted the strap for Beate.
By: stromer : March 17th, 2019-05:15
For her it is just right. I do not wear this combo, but I like it on her wrist. Have a nice weekend, dear friend, Martin
The watch or the strap combo?
By: stromer : March 17th, 2019-05:21
You will not see me wearing that strap, but my wife and the watch can pull it off together well. Have a great weekend, my dear D! Martin
It would be if it was my wrist.
By: stromer : March 17th, 2019-05:26
But our wives enjoy a wider creative margin than most men do. She is wearing it at ease. Have a nice Sunday, dear CC, Martin
Great one for sure.

Plus, a piece of one of our favorite pics, you know which one.
Flag me! :)

That's one of best shots ever!
Great work, giles.
By: zabreg1 Mr White : March 16th, 2019-07:09
My favorite being the blue dial, leather strap.
Moser Endeavour.
By: zabreg1 Mr White : March 16th, 2019-10:41
Case is dead giveaway. Just donโt know which version.
Chapeau Mr White.....
By: Izhik : March 16th, 2019-16:19
actually a pre-Endeavour H Moser & Cie Monard... ...
Wonderful piece.
By: zabreg1 Mr White : March 17th, 2019-02:49
I was surprised how cool the case is. Often overlooked in favor of the showcase dials, but the combo of brushed and polished surfaces, the angles, and the way it all comes together can be a star on its own.
