Hello all, As announced, this week's theme is 'New Shoes'. Let us see your (good or bad) combinations, ideas, changes, and modifications. I really look forward to this one, as we all keep tinkering. I will play with... My most aesthetically successful str...

Bonus if anyone can tell me what watch this was

Geophysic! [nt]

 By: amanico : March 14th, 2019-12:29

 By: Baron - Mr Red : March 15th, 2019-01:40
Well, both are amagnetic, but other than that definitely not a Geophysic. It’s your favourite Calatrava.

It's PP :)... Antimagnetic one :) [nt]

 By: Ares501 - Mr Green : March 16th, 2019-02:14

Yeah, I really like it.

 By: zabreg1 Mr White : March 14th, 2019-07:51
But the quality of the strap is not great, and you know my talents... I really should get another, better one.

+1! [nt]

 By: amanico : March 14th, 2019-14:08

My most outrageous strap

 By: crown comfort : March 14th, 2019-08:16

 By: Arie - Mr Orange : March 15th, 2019-02:00

Cool specially on second one! [nt]

 By: Ares501 - Mr Green : March 16th, 2019-02:12

Well, it was a try but frankly, the blue Richeville

 By: crown comfort : March 16th, 2019-07:57
will soon get new shoes, just found an original bracelet, still in the mail...

Same watch two different straps...

 By: claes_t : March 14th, 2019-08:34
both cheap and cheerful ...

Very nice, Claes.

 By: zabreg1 Mr White : March 14th, 2019-08:40
I especially like the distressed one. But the orange one is more coordinated.

 By: claes_t : March 16th, 2019-03:42
Ruggedly handsome like its owner maybe...

Love the Canvas. [nt]

 By: amanico : March 14th, 2019-12:31

Thank you CC [nt]

 By: claes_t : March 16th, 2019-03:47

Of course :) [nt]

My best shoes!

 By: Ares501 - Mr Green : March 14th, 2019-08:56

Did you know that color of Rolex is....

 By: Ares501 - Mr Green : March 14th, 2019-14:12

That was love at first sight:) [nt]

 By: Ares501 - Mr Green : March 14th, 2019-14:11

As it should be. [nt]

 By: zabreg1 Mr White : March 14th, 2019-21:13

Cool combination! [nt]

 By: Arie - Mr Orange : March 15th, 2019-12:26

 By: claes_t : March 16th, 2019-04:12

this... ...

Lol, perfect [nt]

 By: claes_t : March 16th, 2019-04:43

Top cool combo! [nt]

 By: amanico : March 16th, 2019-15:43

Great to see Green Lantern out!

 By: KMII : March 17th, 2019-01:12
And a great strap, too 😊

Let me play with two of my 'oldest' Patek this week, as I immediately liked their new shoes and never went back to the original ones:

 By: FabR : March 14th, 2019-09:06
Patek 5119R and 5124G, for which I asked for some light blue and flashy red new shoes, respectively (both kindly sent complimentary by Patek), so to make their looks a tad less formal... Cheers. ...

Thanks ;-) [nt]

 By: FabR : March 14th, 2019-09:17

Just saying ‘Italian safe’...

 By: zabreg1 Mr White : March 14th, 2019-09:30
Makes me think immediately about Italian job.

Unfortunately, one can never be too careful these days.

 By: zabreg1 Mr White : March 14th, 2019-21:14
But I keep thinking about car chases mainly.

+1! [nt]

 By: Ares501 - Mr Green : March 16th, 2019-02:11

Double trouble. Doxa and Seiko divers.

 By: Bill : March 14th, 2019-09:07
Both watches on the traditional style nato straps. ...

The yellow and blue combo is killer.

 By: zabreg1 Mr White : March 14th, 2019-09:11
I was kind of expecting a Doxa from you, but the Seiko took me by surprise. Nicely played.

Looks like great holidays!

 By: Ares501 - Mr Green : March 16th, 2019-02:11
Cheers D

Two great pieces, Bill!

 By: KMII : March 17th, 2019-01:21
Still need to start the strap experimentation with my Doxa 👍🏻

That's top class! [nt]

 By: crown comfort : March 14th, 2019-13:40

Yes!! [nt]

 By: Ares501 - Mr Green : March 16th, 2019-02:10

Ok let's go

 By: Arie - Mr Orange : March 14th, 2019-09:38
So we’ve got: Canvas Plastic Crocodile Tweed Hippo Cow Shark Elephant Ostrich I need me some baby seal next 😜 ...

First rule breaker.

 By: zabreg1 Mr White : March 14th, 2019-09:41
But so worth it. I was waiting to see what you would do. But you must rock the pink NATO more.

yeah you did [nt]

 By: Baron - Mr Red : March 14th, 2019-09:48

Yeah. We don’t believe you.

 By: zabreg1 Mr White : March 14th, 2019-21:34
But I will let it slide, all because of the pink NATO.

Mr. Daring...I nearly forgot you had that Omega Connie, it's a cool vintage watch.

 By: crown comfort : March 14th, 2019-13:42
as for the pink Nato...yeah, well.

I’m not the great orchestrator of the pink NATO

 By: Arie - Mr Orange : March 15th, 2019-01:55
we could point fingers. Towards Zagreb

or the last dozen of grappa [nt]

 By: Arie - Mr Orange : March 17th, 2019-11:11

Do NOT blame the Zagreb.

 By: zabreg1 Mr White : March 17th, 2019-11:03
You are to blame.

 By: Arie - Mr Orange : March 17th, 2019-11:12
Highly unlikely 😇

tnx [nt]

 By: Arie - Mr Orange : March 15th, 2019-01:55

Baby seal walks into a bar...

 By: pplater : March 14th, 2019-18:08
“What will you have?” asks the bartender. Baby seal replies: “Anything but Canadian Club on the rocks”. Cheers, pplater.

Haha. I’m stealing that one. [nt]

 By: zabreg1 Mr White : March 14th, 2019-21:25

 By: Ares501 - Mr Green : March 15th, 2019-00:43
Pplater is baaackkk... missed your Aussie humour mate! Cheers D

The king of combos has spoken!!! [nt]

 By: Ares501 - Mr Green : March 16th, 2019-02:10

The strap master at the top of his game 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻

 By: KMII : March 17th, 2019-02:15
The only combo I missed is the 1815 on the camo canvas 😊

it should be there

 By: Arie - Mr Orange : March 17th, 2019-10:57
Between the tsunami of pictures

Our friend is... special. [nt]

 By: zabreg1 Mr White : March 17th, 2019-04:46

🤔 [nt]

 By: Arie - Mr Orange : March 17th, 2019-07:24

since I am a hopeless case of strapaholism ...

 By: Marcus Hanke : March 14th, 2019-09:40
... barely a new watch keeps its original strap or bracelet, once it is in my possession. Changing straps is among my favourite activities around my watches, only topped by buying a new tiempiece. Sometimes, it is quite a challenge to find a new and well ...

I just love that dog chewing photo.

 By: zabreg1 Mr White : March 14th, 2019-09:42
Now, how hard was it to pick the 2 watches?

Not so bad ...

 By: Marcus Hanke : March 14th, 2019-09:44
Since here, in medical rehabilitation, I do not have access to all watch picture files at home. Otherwise I would have spent some hours to select only two watches as asked. Marcus

Well, I hope you get well soon.

 By: zabreg1 Mr White : March 14th, 2019-21:26
And yeah, I had to limit this, otherwise some people could easily post 100+ combos. And I don’t want to be responsible for judges getting carpal tunnel syndrome.

I take offense.

 By: zabreg1 Mr White : March 14th, 2019-21:27
You know that’s my special talent. Even the ‘strongest I could find’ strap from our friend up north lasted 2 weeks on the DSA.

Yes Marcus you have always made great strap combos one of first around these neck of woods

 By: Ares501 - Mr Green : March 16th, 2019-02:02
that has entered and shared strap passion with us. Cheers

Very cool!

 By: KMII : March 17th, 2019-02:15
Puppy approved, too 👌🏻

You all know that the strap from the Seiko Presage blue Enamel isnt a nice one on the wrist.

 By: Watchonthewrists : March 14th, 2019-10:04
Thats why i tried to put a bracelet on it a while ago . And i have to say it works out perfect imho 👌🏻 Did the same with my NHC ...

Some pretty cool combinations 👍🏻😊

 By: KMII : March 17th, 2019-02:19
Still didn’t get around to experiment with the SPB069 when it comes to straps but as I found the Bergeon the other day 🤔😉😂

By appointment of our dear Baron here is my contribution

By: COUNT DE MONET : March 14th, 2019-10:55
Submariner LGF on a dark brown shell cordovan pilot's strap with a panareiesque clasp: The whole package works quite well with a tool watch like the Submariner LGF. ...

This will rest the judges

 By: Baron - Mr Red : March 14th, 2019-11:19
And I am not one.

Love it!

 By: zabreg1 Mr White : March 14th, 2019-11:23
I’m afraid to try anything with mine and I don’t like the bracelet. Yours is great.

No reason to be afraid: it is dead simple

By: COUNT DE MONET : March 14th, 2019-11:33
to remove the Oyster Strap but a little fiddly to put the spring bars back on, still managable though. There is no way of scratching the case. During jogging this morning: ...

True, if you stick with the diving theme

By: COUNT DE MONET : March 16th, 2019-04:49
But with a pilot strap it looks more like military watch, more like an universal tool watch. I like the new look more and more!

Great combo! [nt]

 By: amanico : March 14th, 2019-12:34

Thank you CC for your view on this.

By: COUNT DE MONET : March 14th, 2019-13:59
Now I can wear it daily without thinking about scratching the bracelet and it looks even better!

Thank you! Nice snug fit and very comfy at the same time.

By: COUNT DE MONET : March 17th, 2019-02:54
I enjoy it a lot!

Big Me Up

 By: Ubik : March 14th, 2019-11:08
Been too long, still thinking of you all and the many good times... Here's a strap I had made to add a little pop to small watch I just couldn't resist. ...

About time you bought me lunch

 By: Baron - Mr Red : March 14th, 2019-11:18
Welcome home Ubik! Been too long.

Lunch! You'd better clear the whole day.

 By: Ubik : March 14th, 2019-12:05
Lovely to be back Baron. I'll have my people call your people and set it up.

Welcome back. Glad to see you.

 By: zabreg1 Mr White : March 14th, 2019-11:21
Very cool strap with a very cool watch.

 By: Ubik : March 14th, 2019-12:06
Feels like Friday already.

It is now...

 By: zabreg1 Mr White : March 14th, 2019-21:29
And damn early, too.

There he is!!!

 By: Ares501 - Mr Green : March 14th, 2019-11:22
Great to see you baaakkk amigo! Winning wrist shot I see Yours D

 By: Ubik : March 14th, 2019-12:09
clicked my heels and woke up here I heard the lunatics had taken over the Asylum. Hope all is well with you and yours D. ...

The doctor will see you now!

 By: Ubik : March 15th, 2019-09:46

Perfect match. [nt]

 By: zabreg1 Mr White : March 14th, 2019-11:44

thanks... [nt]

 By: Izhik : March 14th, 2019-12:09

Great first shot. Really good [nt]

 By: Baron - Mr Red : March 14th, 2019-12:27

Last shot is superb! [nt]

 By: Ares501 - Mr Green : March 16th, 2019-02:00

thanks Mr. Green [nt]

 By: Izhik : March 16th, 2019-03:22

Thanks, JML. [nt]

 By: amanico : March 14th, 2019-23:32

Fantastic combination, Nico!

 By: KMII : March 17th, 2019-02:21
And what a shot 👍🏻👌🏻

Great one! [nt]

 By: amanico : March 14th, 2019-13:48

That matches very well! [nt]

 By: crown comfort : March 14th, 2019-13:50

I like this contrast.

 By: zabreg1 Mr White : March 14th, 2019-21:30
A somewhat utilitarian looking strap, matched with the silvery dial looks great.

Love it! [nt]

 By: Ares501 - Mr Green : March 16th, 2019-01:58

Great theme my dear friend Zabreg!! And beautiful watches and straps combo

 By: Subexplorer : March 14th, 2019-13:45
to illustrate the thread opening!! I’m a strapaholic like our friend Marcus said!! It’s amazing to view how a set of straps can change the character of a watch and enhance its charm for its owner. Also... it is almost a part of the fun in a brand like Pan...

Ha ha ha!! Thank you so much Nicolas!! Agree with your choice!...

 By: Subexplorer : March 14th, 2019-13:58
... those are among my favorite straps too! Hagwe and abrazos mi amigo!! Abel

Thanks for the great photos, as always.

 By: zabreg1 Mr White : March 14th, 2019-23:40
That Hirsch is great, I have a similar one, but, sadly, never use it. As for the PAM straps, that's an overload. I like the combo on the Luminor you singled out the best of all shown. That last photo shows the true 'tool watch' status.

Thanks a lot for your kind comments dear friend Zabreg!!

 By: Subexplorer : March 15th, 2019-13:16
agree with you: some times I feel I got an overload of straps!! Lol! I’m happy to know you like the yellow straps with blue accents for my Pam 87!! Always a pleasure to participate in our WS feature!! Hagwe!! Abel

You strapoholic you!!!

 By: Ares501 - Mr Green : March 16th, 2019-01:58
Great entries as always dear Abel! Cheers D

While all are great as always...

 By: KMII : March 17th, 2019-02:23
The Master Compressor on the Hirsch is out of this world 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻

The Panerai Submersible PAM 382 „Bronzo“ for me always had this Jules Verne touch...

 By: JLCman : March 14th, 2019-14:43
Therefore I decided to change the standard strap to a more adequate „20,000 miles below the sea“ version. Fortunately I found a strapmaker in South Corea who was able to make me the strap I hoped for... ...

Wow! That’s an unique Strap JLCman!

 By: Subexplorer : March 14th, 2019-18:06
It surely adds to de Jules V look!! Hagwe!! Abel

Spectacular! [nt]

 By: amanico : March 14th, 2019-23:33

What a strap. Great job.

 By: zabreg1 Mr White : March 14th, 2019-23:41
I love everything about it, but that buckle is out of this world.

What a unit [nt]

 By: Arie - Mr Orange : March 15th, 2019-02:00

Made in Northampton

 By: jml_watches : March 14th, 2019-16:20
Hi As we're talking about new shoes, better choose ones made in Northampton! Cheers JML ...

Nicely paired, jml.

 By: zabreg1 Mr White : March 14th, 2019-23:42
Cool Oris with an obvious sense of style.

Thanks - was first time trying to change straps

 By: jml_watches : March 15th, 2019-01:06
Fortunately it had quick change pins ! Cheers JML

I am sure you did a much better job.

 By: zabreg1 Mr White : March 15th, 2019-02:06
I've scratched countless cases...

The green rocks [nt]

 By: Arie - Mr Orange : March 15th, 2019-01:59

First combo! Winner! [nt]

 By: Ares501 - Mr Green : March 16th, 2019-05:11

Absolutely perfect!

 By: KMII : March 17th, 2019-02:25
The first one I like best - not that any of the others are anything but cool 👍🏻

Received this last week from Dresden...

 By: Tim Jackson : March 14th, 2019-17:05
HAGWE All, Cheers, Tim ...

Hmmm, delicious. [nt]

 By: amanico : March 14th, 2019-23:33

Thank you Sir! [nt]

 By: Tim Jackson : March 15th, 2019-12:42

Yep, see my response to Cc!

 By: Tim Jackson : March 15th, 2019-12:42
In my haste to post, I completely missed the concept of this week’s Wristscan! Oh well😉 Cheers, Tim

Huge congrats dear Tim , gorgeous L&H .

 By: Watchonthewrists : March 15th, 2019-00:28
Please post some more pics soon in the indie forum🙏🏻

Too funny, I missed the strap aspect of this week

 By: Tim Jackson : March 15th, 2019-12:39
I went with latest piece added to the collection 😬 One can hardly see the actual strap in these pics. Cheers, Tim

 By: Ares501 - Mr Green : March 16th, 2019-01:56
Big congrats dear Tim!

Time for some lizard

 By: NT931 : March 14th, 2019-20:00
I find lizard works better with simple dials, like this Cal 89. ...

Lizard. Old school.

 By: zabreg1 Mr White : March 14th, 2019-23:44
I really does work best on vintage, simple dials. A beautiful and rarely seen IWC.

Old school style [nt]

 By: Arie - Mr Orange : March 15th, 2019-01:58

Thanks dear friends!

 By: NT931 : March 17th, 2019-07:29
I find lizard straps often hard to match, but this one was a fortuitous match.

Some of my favorite combo...

 By: Watcholic_id : March 14th, 2019-23:21
For the DSA: For the tricolor Cheers 😊 ...

There it is. My inspiration.

 By: zabreg1 Mr White : March 14th, 2019-23:46
Your first photo is what got me to go with the white strap for the DSA. So, for me, that's the winner, but I am incredibly biased here. For the El Primero, I prefer the second one, but both are great.

many thanks :) [nt]

 By: Watcholic_id : March 15th, 2019-23:51

Love the grey strap on the Tricolor

 By: NT931 : March 15th, 2019-03:06
Is it the Molequin dove grey? I have one too but never thought to try it on the Tricolor... Now I will!

thank you

 By: Watcholic_id : March 15th, 2019-23:57
it's from Hodinkee. i also have the dove grey from Molequin, it's a bit darker from this one. but the Molequin's dove grey will pair nicely too cheers

 By: Watcholic_id : March 15th, 2019-23:58

One watch three straps ref 3486

 By: : March 15th, 2019-00:39

One watch, 3 distinct looks.

 By: zabreg1 Mr White : March 15th, 2019-01:11
Great choices on a stunning watch.

Thanks Yes . I have left it wit the metal strap for the time being

 By: : March 15th, 2019-12:38
Appreciate the compliments J

Did you cut the pilot strap yourself?

By: COUNT DE MONET : March 17th, 2019-03:01
It works quite well with that strap.

A couple which I am quite happy with:)

 By: S F : March 15th, 2019-08:10
Have a great weekend! SF ...

Very cool vintage vibes. [nt]

 By: NickO : March 15th, 2019-09:24
The judges this week are going to have a very hard time Here is my sole submission. I've just realized that I am supremely boring as this is one of only two pieces in my collection that is not on the original OEM strap. I really need to acquire some creat...

An interesting combo.

 By: zabreg1 Mr White : March 15th, 2019-09:57
Definitely changes the context of the watch, makes it more ‘sporty’, if that’s something you can say about DB.

Very chilled [nt]

Zabreg said we could post only two...

 By: KMII : March 17th, 2019-00:30

 By: zabreg1 Mr White : March 16th, 2019-02:02
Where are other combos?

As you limited us to two...

 By: KMII : March 17th, 2019-00:31
These were the chosen ones. But I can do many more 👍🏻

 By: KMII : March 17th, 2019-00:32
It’s actually really fun. And as the legs would otherwise get eaten... at any rate, nothing wasted 😉

Lovely J*D!!! [nt]

 By: Ares501 - Mr Green : March 16th, 2019-01:51

Thank you! [nt]

 By: zabreg1 Mr White : March 16th, 2019-14:56

Difficult one!

 By: Alex83 : March 15th, 2019-14:22
.. I mean, choosing only 2 watches. The first thing I do when buying a new watch is getting colorful straps for it! I will go with the latest ones I've played with... The rolex Pepsi and patek aquanaut. Cheers! Alex ...

PM sent! [nt]

 By: Alex83 : March 16th, 2019-00:45

I absolutely love the Aquanaut on orange.

Since I got the PanoInverse FirstGen last year I have been wondering why G.O. never have tried to sell it to the Ladies. Here on my wife's wrist on a Chopard caoutchouc that never fails to radiate its Stawberry fragrance. Indeed, they build such things Be...

Very cool combo, my dear friend. [nt]

 By: zabreg1 Mr White : March 15th, 2019-14:38

For her it just adds that certain amount if fashion.

 By: stromer : March 17th, 2019-05:13
What unfortunately is lost a little in the photo is the fact that the color of the strap exactly matches the color of the rubies on the dial. This way the strap even somehow respects the nature of the watch. Have a great weekend my dear friend, Martin

Well, I mounted the strap for Beate.

 By: stromer : March 17th, 2019-05:15
For her it is just right. I do not wear this combo, but I like it on her wrist. Have a nice weekend, dear friend, Martin

I would never see this coming...great piece

 By: Ares501 - Mr Green : March 16th, 2019-01:48

The watch or the strap combo?

 By: stromer : March 17th, 2019-05:21
You will not see me wearing that strap, but my wife and the watch can pull it off together well. Have a great weekend, my dear D! Martin

That strap on that watch

 By: Ares501 - Mr Green : March 17th, 2019-07:38
Cheers D

That's very bold, Stromer :) [nt]

 By: crown comfort : March 16th, 2019-07:56

It would be if it was my wrist.

 By: stromer : March 17th, 2019-05:26
But our wives enjoy a wider creative margin than most men do. She is wearing it at ease. Have a nice Sunday, dear CC, Martin

Now that’s a really interesting added dimension, there, Martin!

 By: KMII : March 17th, 2019-03:55
Never knew that Chopard played with strap fragrances, too 👌🏻

The definite reason why I do not wear it.

 By: stromer : March 17th, 2019-05:28
But our wives enjoy life in a different universe Have a nice Sunday, dear KMII Martin

It is easy to understand why!

 By: stromer : March 17th, 2019-05:30

 By: zabreg1 Mr White : March 16th, 2019-07:09
My favorite being the blue dial, leather strap.

 By: Izhik : March 16th, 2019-10:40

Moser Endeavour.

Case is dead giveaway. Just don’t know which version.

Chapeau Mr White.....

actually a pre-Endeavour H Moser & Cie Monard... ...

thanks Sir.. [nt]

 By: Izhik : March 17th, 2019-04:29

Wonderful piece.

 By: zabreg1 Mr White : March 17th, 2019-02:49
I was surprised how cool the case is. Often overlooked in favor of the showcase dials, but the combo of brushed and polished surfaces, the angles, and the way it all comes together can be a star on its own.

thanks to you.. [nt]
