Interesting history.
I can make up now a small view how Breitling goes with Navitimer likes.
Somewhere from the start around 1954 till this day.
Very little i know about the movements Breitling use throughout the years.
To this day, Breitling equipping in house movements for their Navitimers.
Batteries:
It is maybe possible Breitling marked button cell batteries with Breitling on it.
How do purists handle batteries? Is a Maxell not done in a Navitimer?
If i collected one ore more variations of a Breitlings Navitimer Pluton or your model, i want a working batterie, and it would be better to find a Breitling batterie.
At the marked i spotted many Breitlings in good condition. The sellers did handle the watches good and for sure that is important when i want to buy a complete set.
The years i watched are 1978 to mid 96.
But your 2001 is also a peace that surprised me.
The benefit of your moderner 2001 lcd is it’s more rest and clean look.

After trying your version alongside the original I can say that the blue dial makes the watch 10x more appealing.
