pics of '****** the goldfish' to keep you interested
things have really changed since i was a kid. in those days we had a goldfish bowl, round, simple and boring much like their lives, but nowadays we have tanks with filters, gravel, fake plants and much to Henry's pleasure a sponge bob square pants themed tank. has anyone tried taking a pic of a fish tank recently. no, well dont as its very hard and this is the best i could do.
of course nothing wants to stand upright and there isnt enough gravel to cover the bottom so its back to pets at Home tomorrow to buy some more.
Children, even at the age of 11, seem to have no conception of the frustration building up inside an adult as you try to fit all the bits together until it looks like a natural habitat for one of gods creatures.
on another note, if you've ever read Lace you'll know that there is only 1 good use for a goldfish. if you havent read it i encourage you to do so(only if you are over 21 in most of the states of the US)
DRMW will be closing the 'competition' at 12noon PST(whatever that is) on the 8th August and i'll make a shortlist after which Henry will make his choice. its hard to believe most of us are intelligent professional people with stressful lives isnt it

Hello Allen, I'm surprised that the fish lived for 3 years! I guess she has the magic touch. Did you feed the fish the food flakes? I used to do bread crumbs on those carnival goldfish and they really liked eating it. -MW
Just the fish flakes are enough to keep them alive.
My friend's goldfish lived for almost 10 years and grew to almost a foot long!

We think very much alike! Another vote for Auric. I was also thinking about the scientific name of gold and the famous James Bond film. We can't call the goldfish Scaramanga; so Auric would be my choice.

What about "PG" (pronounce: pee-gee)?
Sounds childlike and alludes to the gold aspect of the fish - but as the goldfish definitely has an orange-reddish color, is more appropriate than "WG" or "YG" . Apart from that "PG" might serve for futher wordplay like having people guess what this stand...
