Since little over nine years I can call the city of Rotterdam my home.
According to Wiki: Rotterdam (pronounced /ˈrɒtərdæm/ ; the Latinised adjectival form for the city is Roterodamus) is a city and municipality in the Dutch province of South Holland , situated in the west of the Netherlands .
Home of Desiderius Erasmus Roterodamus (sometimes known as Desiderius Erasmus of Rotterdam) (October 28,[1] 1466/1469, Rotterdam – July 12, 1536, Basel ) was a Dutch Renaissance humanist and a Catholic priest and theologian . His scholarly name Desiderius Erasmus Roterodamus comprises the following three elements: the Latin noun desiderium ("longing" or "desire"; the name being a genuine Late Latin name); the Greek adjective ἐράσμιος (erásmios ) meaning "desired", and, in the form Erasmus, also the name of a St. Erasmus of Formiae ; and the Latinized adjectival form for the city of Rotterdam (Roterodamus="of Rotterdam").
Now you may think, why does he mentiond this old man? Well, every day to work by car or bike I cross the Erasmusbridge. Isn't it beautiful?!

Cheers!
