While my heart will always be in my home state of Virginia, for the last 9 years I've called Los Angeles (for 8 of those 9 years Hollywood, specifically) home. It's a fantastical place where...
...robots protect us...

My friends with "Bumblebee" from the Transformers movie. Movie goers may recognize the Bronson Gate, famous arched entrance to Paramount Pictures in Hollywood, in the background.
...where beyond these gates the dinosaurs of Jurassic Park await boatloads of unsuspecting tourists from around the world...

Luckily however, escape from T-Rex and friends is only a trolley ride away!

...where four brothers with a dream created an iconic company that took us to exotic places like Casablanca, and introduced us to the Loony Tunes of Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck...

The WB shield insignia adorns the movie studio founded by four immigrant brothers from Poland, the Warner brothers.

In this wider shot you can see the headquarters of ABC networks in the background, the company that brings you TV shows like Lost, and Grey's Anatomy. For those of you who were fans of the show Alias, like me, you might recognize the ABC building from some of those episodes. I recall one scene from the series in particular in which an assassin shot someone from the roof of that building.
Los Angeles may be the City of Angels, but it's also a city of celluloid fantasies in which all manner of dreams can become reality, if only for two hours, while sitting in a darkened movie theater with a bucket of popcorn.

Welcome to Los Angeles! What's your dream?
