Rolex 5513 Bezel & Insert Advice Please
Hi Everybody!
I am seeking some adivce please! I have a 5513 submariner year circa 1968. Unfortuntley I sent the watch to a highly incompetent watchmaker for a service. Long story but it was returned to me with a badly damaged bezel and insert and I am totally devastated. I have been looking for a replacment for the a whle now and I have stumbled across someone who has the below bezel and insert available. He claims it is from a 1680 from circa 1970 and it has the fat font with the tritum insert. He is certain it will fit my watch and the font matches or comes close to the font used in that era i.e 1970. Unfortunatley I am not equipped with the knowledge or skillset to decide of this is a good buy or not. It is very expensive around €1400 (insert and bezel) and understandably I dont want to make a mistake. I would really appreciate your comments please and if you think the below insert looks genuine and is in fact from the 1970s era and the font looks genuine etc. Thanks Darren
