Rolex

in truth....

....it was extremely hard to let some watches go. The 6610 red depth...aggghhh..... but radium. 6200....the same. 5508...the same. Much of the decision to sell a watch was based on that issue. It is also very discomforting when a dealer tells you that fake watches are now impossible to distinguish from original.....the number of PNs available is, for example, a big example of that. But my PN is tritium, I am as sure as i can be that it is original (as are Rolex!!), and i love it. It stays.
Rationalising was a very hard thing to do. But, thanks to that process, I scooped some great watches as replacements....Polaris 65 for example came as a part of that rebalance. Patek 3448.....that did too. My vintage Calatravas...3417....570....is it so hard to lose some watches when one gains some compensating treasures?
Lets put it this way....I am at peace with it.
